I have to say I was very much looking forward to reading this one as I was dying for more information on some of the characters
This is the third book in the DCI Miller series. I have to say I was very much looking forward to reading this one as I was dying for more information on some of the characters that appeared in the brilliant Neighbour's From Hell which is the second book in the series. The thread to do with that story line was quite low key sadly and I have to admit I would have liked to have read more. The main story line to do with sergeant Jason Knight made for some riveting reading. I was as concerned as much about his disappearance as his colleagues and family were. I couldn't understand why or how someone of that status could just disappear. When all becomes clear why though, all I can say is what an eye opener it is and it was way better than I could ever have imagined. What I love about this series is that even though it follows DCI Miller, for me he feels like he is more in the background so that we can fully get into the case that he is working on and the characters involved. It makes this crime series more unique to others in the same genre and it certainly gets the reader fully wrapped up in what is going on.Road To Nowhere is yet another highly enjoyable and gripping read. The author never seems to fail in shocking and surprising me. Highly recommend these books if you are looking for a series that stands out from the crowd as well as being entertaining.

Another exciting story from Steven Suttie
DCI Miller heads off on a new case. Different cop shop, different team, but only for this case.A policeman has gone missing! This is unusual for him, said his wife. He’s out on his bicycle, training for an event. He called when he stopped off for a usual McDonald’s drink, and said he’d be home for dinner. He didn’t return.Miller’s got his new team doing all the usual checks for the policeman’s whereabouts. Nothing! Why has Miller been ordered to keep quiet? No press? He’s struggling for a lead on the case, and his team aren’t able to help.Feeling frustrated, he pops outside for a break. He needs a breath of fresh air and a chat with a friend. Feeling more positive after, he returns to the team invigorated. He’s now got the team doing a search somewhere else, where the cyclist must have passed through. They need to trace his bike journey. It’s a regular route so he must be somewhere! Finally, after a thorough police search, there is a link to the cyclist. The story then goes back a few months. We’re now getting to meet the police officer who’s missing. He’s seems to be, just a regular cop going about his dutiesEventually Miller is told to hold a press conference. Let’s get the public involved with the search! This was now getting even more interesting. Amazing how helpful the general public can be if needed.Thourougly enjoyed this fast pacing story. Please keep the the Miller stories going Steven Suttie!

Good story, needs a lot of work on language and formatting.
The author's a good story teller, and the book kept me engaged, but the it is beset by grammatical errors, wrong tenses and dodgy punctuation; the formatting often leaves stranded odd words on a line. It doesn't appear to have been proof read, and the conversion into an e-book doesn''t appear to have been checked either, not great when the public is being asked to pay for a finished product. I spent quite a lot of time correcting the worst examples, but I doubt whether anybody will take any notice. The trend is for Kindle books to be shovelled out without any regard for quality. Is "fragrant disregard" the same as ordinary disregard but with scented candles? Is the past tense of "lie" actually "was lay"? If this sort of language annoys you, don't buy the book. I won't be buying anything else from this author. Sorry Kindle, this just won't do.

A must read
I'm not going o give a rundown on the story for two reasons. 1) you can rean the blurb and 2) this is a follow on fom another book of his, Neighbours fom Hell and whilst it can be read as a stand alone I would strongly recommend reading the two books in order.Mr Suttie has a very unique writing style which, having read one of his books would definitely recognise another right away.He injects a very subtle humour throughout, sarcastic? not sure, dry? Possibly....the book deals with some heavy stuff and Mr Suttie manages to balance everything needed to engage the reader....I think the subtle humor works because it stops the story from becoming so dark that the reader may be put off, but is not intrusive.I loved this book and I loved the prequel equally.DCI Miller is a lovable character, more so is his sidekick DS Saunders who does all the legwork for Miller. Their relationship is fantastic. If you like Police Procedurals, with tons of normality thrown in, Council house tenants, Well to do's, nutty neighbours, revenge etc. I suggest you read Nighbours from Hell, then Road to Nowhere.I promise you will not be disappointed.

Steven Suttie has an uncanny ability of writing great stories that come alive from the page
This is the 3rd book in the DCI Miller series and continues on from the last book , "Neighbours From Hell".Steven Suttie has an uncanny ability of writing great stories that come alive from the page. His stories are fast paced, humorous, down to earth and dare I say it “Gritty”.As with the rest of the series this is a fun journey into the world of DCI Miller and you don’t quite know where it is taking you until you get there. Mr Suttie certainly knows how to finish a book, everyone has left me with a smile on my face. I do love a good ending.I love the way the antagonist is written, I really felt sorry for him at one point. The Author says that you don’t have to read the previous book to enjoy this one. You don’t but you should. You should read all of these books. You wont regret your trip into the world of DCI Miller. Brilliant stories, Brilliantly written,
