Before you buy this, be sure to measure the width of the narrowest chair you fee comfortable in, then check it against the measurement of this item. This cushion is small. The foam is dense and does its job, but unless you're a small adult, you may tip over because of the narrowness. If this was 2 or 3 inches wider, it would help a lot. But if you are small or petite, this works well.

I ended up ordering three of the 5" adult booster seat cushions, one for each of my cars (2 cars and an RV). I'm vertically challenged (aka "short") and have a difficult time seeing out of my mirrors due to my height (also seeing over the steering wheel). I am currently using three regular seat cushions (2" each) on my office chair and may buy another booster for that. So far, so good. They're doing exactly what I wanted them to do.

I bought this for my mother, who is 90 & has trouble getting up out of low chairs. Unfortunately, the cushion almost flattens when she sits on it, so it really doesn't help much at all. It might help people who are trying to sit on uncomfortable chairs.

I was searching for a big kid booster seat for my son and came across this. He wanted a booster that wasn't "for a baby" and this is perfect!! The cover is washable and repels liquid. My husband was skeptical when it first arrived because he could depress the foam with his fingers. I tried it out and it doesn't sink in at all when I sit on it. I took some drawer liner and put it between the chair and pad to help keep it in place when my son crawls onto it. I would recommend for a "big kid" or adult!

This was a very comfy and firm cushion. I am 5'1" and my car is big...I look like a child when I drive so I ordered this even tho the ratings said it flattens out...I got it, tried it out and it is very firm but soooo comfy!!!! It's just too big for my car, lifted me too high. Had to return. Very fast refund.

Height great but cushion not as firm as I had hoped. In a car it requires another cushion underneath it to counteract the slant of a bucket seat.

I mean this is a great product but it gets really hot

I thought it was terrific until on the third brief use, it collapsed on one side...and I am not heavy. The height is good when fully supporting.
