This was my first MSI MB but I have been very impressed. The Gigabyte B760 board previously installed returned a PCMark10 score of 7890 and with the same components this increase to over 8100 with this board. Apart from the reasonable specifications I was particularly pleased to see MSI had physically positioned the PCIe slots so you had a choice of where to mount your graphics card (using either a CPU or chipset controlled slot).

All cables connected easily and rebuilt PC fired up immediately, no problems.There is no need to buy a TPM module, this is already hard coded into the BIOS of this motherboard.Now running W11 no issues.

No more sata cables and external HDD drives! Haven't even tried to install a CPU into that mess.Doesn't look like a re-sold return (unless factory re-packaged). Seems MSI indeed does have serious QC issues, as others have reported DOA boards. I've had a number of MSI products in the past, and none had quality issues, so this is surprising.Ordered a replacement. We'll see.UPDATE1: Replacement never arrived (package marked as lost, likely stolen). Waiting on a refund now.UPDATE2: The replacement of the replacement FINALLY arrived. Managed to get the board up and running. So far, no complaints. Running very stable with an i5-13600K, 64GB DDR5-4000, an RTX 4060, and five non-RGB fans.Super chuffed that there's not a single annoying RGB LED in sight on this board :)

This motherboard works fine for me, with a 14th Gen K CPU, RTX 4060 TI. 6 sata (3.5 and 2.5) disks via a PCI 8 sata port riser thing. 2 x m.2 nvme SSD, and 1 x m2 sata. additional fans via fan splitter thing. with this video processing was 4-6 times faster than on my other PC running 11th Gen with same 80GB RAM, and a 2GB (!) GPU.

Always used Asus boards but they simply cannot properly support higher memory clocks...read upon theMSI PRO Z790-A MAX WIFI Motherboard and there is no hype at all, worked on XMP perfectly.Well made board and would recommend.Well laid out Bios.Had to return 2 boards to Amazon and as usual great service with refunds.

I am very pleased with this purchase. It's been a few years since I upgraded my PC, which was previously running a 7th generation Core i5 processor. I spent a long time looking over the pros and cons, having not had an MSI motherboard before. It all looked good, though, and seemed to garner good reviews, so I went ahead and made the purchase.I have to say, I've not been disappointed. My chosen processor was the Core i5-13400F. Everything booted up straight away with no need to update the BIOS, and has continued to work flawlessly since. I'm especially pleased with the space for multiple M2 drives and shall be adding one of those as soon as finances allow.

Put a few of these in custom builds and these boards exceed all expectations. Hard to get near this value with any other brands if comparable quality.
