Tastes Good and You Feel Full
I am hoping Almased sees this review as I have a few questions. I am giving the product four stars at this stage. My wife and I went through the 3-day detox and are starting the next phase. We do not eat three meals per day, so we drank two shakes per day for the detox phase. Since we only eat twice per day, we will continue on with one shake per day and one meal. My question is: Does having two per day as the only meals count as a detox? Will one per day with one meal work for weight loss? We like the product. We made the shake with blueberries in the morning and with broccoli in the evening. Both were good. We didn't feel hungry and didn't feel sluggish or tired from not eating. i did not think I would make it for three days with only two shakes per day, but I did. The vanilla tasted good. It was a satisfying meal replacement. One other thing I noticed was I was gassy during the three days. I am wondering if it was because of the soy. any answer to that?

It is a great value for the money spent.
It is going to cost you $100.00 per mo. or more depending on which program you get on. I mix 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and 2 heaping teaspoons of plain cocoa with my 8 tablespoons of Almased and 12 0unces of 1% milk. It's like a chocolate shake every morning to start the day and I skip breakfast. It taste great , I feel good all day and I have noticed my energy levels have increased--especially during the morning hours. My appetite has dropped down so I don't eat as much at meals and with a small amount of will power I am able to stop the "in between meal snacks". Consequently I have lost 10 lbs. in the last two months without really trying. It is good stuff.

Grainy but a good way to loose weight.
Received this product yesterday. Four out of the six cans were busted open and leaked all over the other product that was shipped with these! Tried to contact seller but can't nor can this product be returned/replaced! All that money wasted!!! I've purchased Almased before, put it in milk, and added Truvia Sweetener. It taste like Cheerio powder - it's like after you've eaten Cheerios and then drink any leftover milk. The texture is grainy and I highly recommend adding fruits or sweetener of choice. I prefer to use 2% milk or Almond milk instaed of water. It's great for weight loss and protein levels. No cravings afterwards.

It works
Been using this since 2010 every year to reset my metabolism. My skin always glows when I take it and I’ll lose inches without getting loose skin. Not great for weight loss but inches come off in All the right areas. I add cinnamon because the flavor is not great. I gain weight rapidly and this helps my metabolism. I’m 5’5 and maintain 140 until the holidays where I can gain up to 50lbs because I have no discipline so this helps stabilize my metabolism at the beginning of the year.

It works, but it's a struggle
First of all, let me tell you how to make the shakes more enjoyable: Use a blender; I used a Ninja Fit. Place the desired amount of Almased powder in the blender (I’m 6’ 2” so I used eight heaping tablespoons), one packet of Stevia, one teaspoon of cinnamon, 8 to 10 ounces of cold herbal tea (berry or cherry works well), and eight or nine ice cubes. Don’t overblend because the ice crystals give the drink a real “shake” consistency; about four seconds. I used the original flavor for the first week, but switched to the vanilla flavor for the second week, and found it marginally more flavorful. For the first nine days I followed the directions exactly as stated. I ate nothing, and the only other thing I consumed aside from the Almased shakes was herbal tea or naturally flavored seltzer. I also went on brisk 2.5 mile walks every other day, and did strenuous yardwork almost daily. On the 10th day I allowed myself to have a healthy dinner, and continued the pattern of two shakes and a healthy dinner thru Day #14. I weighed myself on the morning of Day #15, and I’d lost 12 pounds. I thought I’d lost more because more pants were noticeably looser. A lot of people complain about the cost of the Almased diet, but from my calculations it cost me around $5.50 per shake, which is $5.50 per meal when you’re sticking to the protocol. I’m sure you’ve seen how grocery prices have gotten completely out of control since the 2020 election, so paying $5.50 per meal is actually a real bargain. Especially since I didn’t purchase any other groceries for close to two weeks. Overall, I have to endorse this product, but with some reservations: I was extremely hungry about two hours after having a shake, and I was only drinking three shakes per day, and I wasn’t about to start sipping vegetable broth between shakes. It seems to me that I could’ve lost the same 12 lbs. by eating three meals of raw vegetables and a small amount of protein, drinking no alcohol for two weeks, and getting as much physical exercise as I did. However, I do admit to getting into the “diet mindset” while adhering to the Almased protocol, and it felt like a positive experience that was goal-oriented.
