Bey-Berk Leather Book Weight, Black (D430)

Love. Love. Love. If you are a reader, you know why. It is a nice quality leather. Heavy, holds the book open. Very nice.

The product is well made but I expected a heavier book-weight. It won't hold open a standard sized hard-back with 400 pages or more.

I have purchased other book weights and was a bit disappointed in the smaller size and weight of this one, but all in all, it works fine.

I'm a literature scholar, and for years I've been using staplers, telephones, other books--whatever was on hand--to hold open a book as I type up quotations from it. This simple but elegant little book weight is the perfect solution. In fact, I'm using it right now, and just took a break to come write this review!

Excellent book gadget for avid readers and students. When working on papers this book weight helps hold the book in place as I search for references and other material for essays and research papers. Light weight fits in a small bag or larger backback. Also serves as bookmark while in library or other public reading location.

I was torn between 3 and 4 stars. I like it for sure, but I work with books professionally and found it too light to keep most of the volumes I use open. Often the best it can do is anchor one page. Definitely best for readers of lighter and more loosely bound volumes!

I am terribly disappointed with the performance of this book weight. It does not have enough weight on each end to keep a book open without damaging the spine. The picture is misleading in that it shows the book weight being used with a hard cover book, which is what I wanted. The fact that it is stylish and comes in a very attractive box does not change the fact that it is basically useless. I purchased two. One for myself and one as a gift. I will be returning them.

Very nice "book weight" I carry mine around with me all the time. Never know when you'll need a good "book weight" for self defense
