Keyport Pocket Flare 2.0 - Flat Mini Keychain Light with Lantern Mode

tldr: This is by far my favorite light that I have ever owned, and I recommend this to anyone and everyone. This is an incredible flashlight. It’s compact, the clip lets you put it just about anywhere on your clothes, and it’s not only bright, but rechargeable. I work as an HVAC technician, and my most used tool is my headlamp, but now it’s my flare 2. The flood light mode (mode 3) is incredible at lighting up an area, and the inspection light (mode 1 and 2) is great for tight areas. The included picture is in a pitch black room, yet when I clip it to my shirt, I can work with both hands as if the room were fully lit. It’s easier to maneuver than my previous inspection light, and it’s RECHARGEABLE! My current headlamp eats through 3 AAA batteries each week, and I’ve spent $20 on batteries alone for it in the last 6 months. This light? Charge it in my work truck every so often between calls and you’ve got consistently bright light. I completely and wholeheartedly recommend this to any trade worker, inspector, or anyone who needs a reliable and consistent light.

Excellent and practical. A must have item.

Had the previous version, which was mostly serviceable but had a very sensitive button and would turn on in my pocket and therefore sometimes run down. I would go to use it and it'd be dead. This update, redesign is 100% better. It doesn't go on until I turn it on. It is brighter in general and the lantern mode actually works. I go to charge it and it charges very quickly - partly because it hasn't gone off in my pocket but also because it appears to have a much more powerful battery. It was easy to attach to my Keyport and so far seems very durable. I knew that Keyport - which I have really appreciated in general (so much better than a jumble of keys and other things on a ring and incredibly good customer service) - would do and update or redesign of the Pocket Flare I just wish I had checked back sooner.

Wish they made a rugged version of this that could withstand drops l, but this is nice, lights are bright and battery lasts a long time.

Totally cool

While not incredibly bright, this light offers unmatched convenience by being attachable to your pivot key holder. Never forget your light again, because honestly where are you going without your keys? It attaches very securely using an intuitive locking mechanism. So far it seems very durable and able to handle being on my side swinging around at all times. For 20 bucks you can't go wrong with this light, what it lacks in pure performance it makes up for in incredible convenience and cohesive packaging. Very good value for money, but don't expect to have a portable sun.

The size of this flashlight is perfect. The problem is the battery drains even when not in use. I have quit carrying it because every time I went to use it the battery was dead. Update: Keyport reached out and offered a replacement Pocket Flare. After testing, it appears my original Pocket Flare was defective. I have updated my rating (including an extra star for the customer service).

Bright and super useful. Having it on my keyport makes a great EDC item.
