Mirafit Olympic Fractional Weights - Choice of Size

EDIT FEB 2020: just to add these are *excellent*. I had been stuck at the same weights in some lifts for many months. Since using these and creeping up as little as 0.25kg per week or two, I have consistently added weight since summer last year. The important bit? My form has not suffered and, qualitatively, it does not feel any heavier on the bar whatsoever!I bought 6 of these plates: 2 sets of 0.25kg (4 plates, totalling 1kg) and 1 set of 0.5kg (2 plates, totalling 1kg).I ordered Friday evening and opted for free i.e. slow delivery yet they arrived this morning, Tuesday, following a bank holiday Monday. They were well packaged -- strong tissue-type paper between each plate and each pair wrapped in layers of plastic and a layer of cardboard.The blue plates (0.5kg) are in excellent condition with a nice finish. The white plates each have a small, strange splodge of (off-white) paint on them. They all look like they have been painted by spraying or dipping, so all look quite sheek, so these strange blotches of, what looks like a different shade/type of paint are unusual.My uncalibrated kitchen scales measure all 6 plates as underweight by no more than 6 grams. This is a whisker over 2% at most. Given the unknown margin of error of my scales it could be slightly more or slightly less, but it is interesting all 6 are showing as underweight.However, even if my scales are extremely accurate, this is a very small variation; if 5 grams' deviation from what is stated on the weight plate is of real-world significance to your weight training then you have bigger problems than how much you squat.I bought these hoping for pretty accurate weights and robust design, so they don't crack or snap, hoping to use them for years. For this reason, I do not much care what they look like. Rusty old weights have their own aesthetic.So, other than the curiosities above, I am very pleased indeed with the product and very impressed with the delivery and packaging. I will definitely look at this company again for other gym items, assuming the plates stand the test of time.4.5 stars.

These are irreplaceable. When you are pushing yourself quite hard, increasing your lifts by even 2.5 kg can be difficult... With these plates you can increase your lifts as little as 0.5 kg per time on a barbell (0.25 if used unilaterally but you'd only do that on a dumbbell or T bar row).Allows you to make progress when it would otherwise have been difficult, thanks to such tiny increments in workload.If you are having no issue adding 2.5 to 5 kilos per time they may not be as useful as most gyms have 1.25 and 2.5 kilo plates. But when you're near your limit, these are a MUST have.

I bought the full set and then an extra pair of 0.5kgs for when using dumbbells. Got a good set up in my garage but making a 2.5kg jump is just a little too much sometimes on squats bench and deadlifts, so I got a set of fractional plates. Best thing I’ve bought in a while and use them all the time. I’d definitely recommend these to anyone in a similar situation.

Just what i needed and got a PB on my snatch yesterday 💪 was stuck at a certain weight for soo long and needed some smaller fraction plates. Colour coded too which helps and fits a standard olympic bar perfectly. Arrived two days earlier than expected and in these current circumstances i was well pleased. Excellent service. Thank you

When you need to continually progress but the gym doesn’t have small weights these are ideal.1 KG every session added to your lifts will really add up over a year.

Got the 250g pair. Weight good to within 5g and perfect fit on decent Olympic bar. Central holes on mine were 50.2 - 50.4 mm so may not fit a cheap bar!

Got the 1kg plates. Fits standard Olympic bars. Solid good product. Would recommend.
