screwgun for 75mm collated screws
I bought this gun to meet a special challenge.I had to use 63mm PIR Laminate on a vaulted ceiling to meet Building Regs. This required the longest collated plasterboard screws I could find. The Makita gun worked brilliantly. I couldn`t have done the job without it.

Erwartete Begeisterung !

Awsome!
I've had the Senco Cordless Autofeed and the Ridgid Corded AutoFeed Screwdriver. I've used them for drywall, fencing, and decking... But I would always revert back to my regular cordless screwdrivers because these just didn't have enough power, speed, or battery life... I eventually pretty much gave up on autofeed guns, as I just figured this was as good as they get. When I saw the Makita (by accident), I hesitantly thought to give it one more try.. The first thing I noticed upone delivery was how light it felt for a bigger size gun. It was balanced and quite comfortable. But this can be decieving and you really don't know until the tool is used for a while... It's first use was on medium size drywall job... I shot about 10 screws before I got the adjustment right. After that, I just locked the trigger (A real nice feature by the way) and went to town. I absolutely loved it... It was powerful, light, and just as comfortable working with it as it was when I first got it... It takes no effort to drive in screws. A few months later, I used it on a fence and had the same satisfaction... Although a cord can be a bit combersome when working on a long fence, it sure beats a cordless unit that just doen't have the power and you end up tiring yourself from applying force while screwing. I also love the belt hook and with it being so light, I hook it right to my pant pocket and not worry about it tearing from being too heavy... Even inserting the collated screws seems to be easier on this than my old guns (but that could just be me liking this gun so much that everything seems better)... And you'll love the 3" screw capability on this gun(especially for decking). I've haven't seen many others (if at all)with that size capability.... 99% of my tools are Bosch, Milwaukee, & Dewalt, but if this is an example of their quality then its time to add Makita to the mix...

Nice Tool That Helps Get the Job Done Fast
Very nice screwdriver gun. I've used it to screw down floor and wall sheathing like drywall, OSB, ply, T&G, .. and it works great. You do get an occasional misfeed which can take a bit to clear if the screw jams up into the metal. A nice pair of long nose pliers helps with removing the stuck screw. You will also get some screws that missed. Just pull the strip back thru the gun, stopping two clicks after the screw enters the gun, and you can use that missed screw. I also found the tight corners / spaces can resulting in incomplete seating of the screws. Not the gun's fault since they do say to keep the gun perpendicular to the work surface. If you screw on an angle, you get screw heads not flush. So have another screw driver for those screws that don't go in all the way because you're holding the gun at an angle. Over all this is a great tool for quickly getting your fastener job done.

falsely described
Poorly miss-represent in this AD, here there is a pic of a guy screwing off a sheet of drywall correct? The most common screw for drywall is 1 1/4 inch correct? Well here in the AD its says ""Tool-less" screw depth adjustment for easy depth settingHigh torque for driving screws up to 2-15/16" long" and again "High torque for driving screws up to 2-15/16"" long". No-where does this AD state the minimum screw length it can handle is 1 3/4 inches so I wasted my money on a gun, pricey I might ad so it can collect dust!!!!

nice and powerfull
work like a charm, i've done only one project so far (subfloor) im so happy, screws go easy, fast. only cons is when you missfire a screw, it doesnt have a reverse mode, you have to let it go, and when magazine is finished, you put it again and use the missed screws. Not a big deal, but i'd like to have a reverse function. Still a 5 stars performer
