The flavor is mint. Doublemint is Wrigley's tradename.

Is this the original before they ruined it

Afraid not. They screwed it up. Not only do you have to chew 2 pieces to get one of the old ones, the texture is wrong and the mint doesn't last. I have chewed this for over 60 years and loved it. Then, just as you say, they ruined it. I am sure it has to do with money as they quit the foil wrap and they started putting less pieces in each pack for a few years before they jacked with the perfect recipe and screwed it up.

chew chew chew!

I have always loved this gum. and for many years I couldn't get my hands on it. so now I have found a way. THANK YOU AMAZON! this gum I find keeps its elasticity and chews fresh for a long while with the flavor given. I really just love this gum. I recommend you should try it and you too will probably keep on buying. Oh by the way. this is old school gum! you won't have to discard it after two minutes!

Everyone Loves Doublemint

I am in constant need of gum after I eat. With such a large amount of gum on hand, I never run out. Be aware that doublemint is NOT sugarless, in fact sugar is the first ingredient on the box. But compared to sugary gums, doublemint is not too bad. Salivary flow that is induced by gum chewing does have positive effects for your teeth if you chew one piece of doublemint for a long time. Otherwise it can be treated like candy and not be beneficial.

Inaccurate description

It advertised 15 sticks 20 packs but description on box is 15 sticks 10 packs and that’s all you get. You pay more than you normally would pay. That’s terrible!!!

Thanks for the extra of different brands of Gum but you can't ship menthol cigs with non menthol or peppermint gum with cherry g

Thanks for the extra gum. But I learned quickly that gum is like cigarettes.... you can't ship or store different flavors or they will marry flavors and lose the original taste. It works with gum just as fast as it does with cigarettes. You cannot store or ship menthol with regular cigarettes. And my Doublemint gum came tasting like bubble gum. It was only a few packs that were temporarily effected. After I separated the gum the my Doublemint went back to it's original flavor. Thank you!

classic flavor, handy packaging

Easier than remembering to buy this at the grocery store, so glad Amazon sells it in the big box. The carton is handy for keeping it organized in the cupboard and the price and convenience are plusses too.

Doublemint is great

I found that Doublemint lasts longer than any "long lasting" gum. It's also the best tasting. Part of that reason is that it uses natural sugar as the sweetener. The sugar does cause plaque buildup, so I got to brush my teeth more often when I'm chewing this gum. Also the "Cancer warning" review is unfounded, the person who wrote that doesn't know how to do research.
