Once assembled and after a trial run or two, I found it easy enough to use making putting on socks the work of a few moments. There are no real instructions, just a few pictures on the box bur, really, it's straight forward. As I am unable to bend to the floor due to back problems or, cross one leg over the other to bring my foot up to a point where I can pull a sock on, it's great! And don't dismiss the shoe-horn tool, I've found the pointed outer arms can be used to push a sock off, afterall, nobody's made a sock removal tool yet!

Was not sure whether this would work as described but my goodness it certainly does. Got it for my hubby who struggles to put socks on but with this item was so easy. Socks slide over the end so that foot slips in. It may over time stretch the neck of the sock but small price to pay for such a simple and useful item. The only issue was that the package was not very strong and as the item is plastic could quite easily get damaged.

Was apprehensive but it works brilliantly! Just had a new hip so can't put sock or laced shoes on that foot so this gets the sock on and shoes without laces completes that side!

I bought this because I was having a hip replacement and expected several weeks of difficulty with putting on my socks. This device has been invaluable, giving me independence. It works extremely well for me. Make sure you have soft stretchy socks - I've got on well with socks made from bamboo.

I honestly can’t imagine anyone with arthritis in the hands, managing to use this product. Sock needs to be super stretched in order to fit it onto the device and once fitted, it doesn’t go on smoothly. That means the person still has to bend down to adjust it properly. Not simple to use and not very effective device.

Sadly the 80 year old this was bought for found it far to light to stay put on the floor and far too large for his socks making it very difficult to actually get the sock on it.
