It is well designed for laying laminate or LVF. I started with a cheap one because I only had 1 bedroom to install, but it soon bent so I bought this one and was very happy with the results. Because it has some weight to it, little force is needed to set the boards. Use a rubber mallet, not a hammer.

This tool made it much easier to install my vinyl flooring. It’s a must have if you are doing flooring.

Get this one, it is awesome. Well made, incredibly strong and effective. Did 1500 sq ft of flooring and it still looks brand new. It saved me several times when a joint came un-done and had to re-connect it.

This is one of the better bars . It's heavy duty . It will last long time

Sped up the installation of wood flooring in the house. Highly recommend it especially for the price.

I wish I could upload some pictures but for some reason Amazon and my Mac don't like each other when it comes to loading pictures. Anyway, I ordered this particular bar rather than it's identical competitor simply because it was gray and not black. I liked the neater appearance of the tool.It also had felt padding attached where it would contact the floor. Not sure if the other one has this or not. Remember this is a tool for laying expensive ( to most consumers) flooring. The tapered "pry" end has a 1/4" "ding" in the end where it struck something very solid and bent about an 1/8" fold upward. Then on the other end, the "tee" for locking against the flooring, has a hole in it. For what purpose I am not sure, but it is drilled after it is painted, from outside to inside. The inside of the whole has a GIANT burr of steel clinging on the edge of the hole ! Right where it will contact the flooring ! I mention the box was perfect because this by default means the tool was packaged like this from the factory. That is pretty poor quality control. Now I have the ability to, and will, clean these up myself and smooth it out, but why should I have to ?My advice , based on this experience, would be, get the competitor brand. This one gets a thumbs down from me...👎🏻👎🏻. ...even two!

If you want something that will last this is a great option.

Looks good an worked well until it broke. The welds did not hold. There was no impact cover on the anvil side. That being said it worked great. Before an after I welded it back to gather. I have emailed the company two weeks ago. A still waiting for a reply.
