Step2 Speedway Storage Chest

I purchased this toy box for my son after having one of those toy bin organizers that just wasn't working right. I think I was attempting to organize a 4 year old's toys in a completely futile effort, so I decided that he'd probably have more fun just dumping them all in one container (anyone else remember being ecstatic jumping in their toy box and finding that one toy you hadn't even glimpsed in six months?!).This toy box is BIG but also has a lot of vertical space, allowing more storage space in my son's small room. It was ridiculously simple to assemble, but I'm not afraid of it falling apart. There IS a bit of space at the bottom of the door, but I agree with other posters that it is obviously intentional to avoid little fingers from being injured. There is a large sheet of stickers that comes with it, and no rhyme or reason or directions on where to put them, which created a little craft project for my boy, which made him happy. I also told him that if he has other stickers he wants to put on it, he can feel free: it'll aid in his creativity, and maybe prevent those same stickers from ending up all over the rest of his furniture!As for shipping and delivery, it came one day earlier than expected, which was great. It came in a large cardboard box, and my only complaint (which I mentioned in my review of packaging) was that there was no protective plastic covering any of the pieces, so there was some dirty dust from the cardboard box it was in. If this bothers you, a quick wipe down with a damp paper towel will take care of it. It came in the box snugly and no pieces were rattling around, so I'm pleased!I highly recommend this toybox for any little boy or tomboy, especially for those little collectors out there with limited floorspace. It IS large, but is about as tall as it is long. The OUTSIDE of the toybox measures approximately 32"x19"x32" (lxwxh).

I bought this for my 5 and 2 year old who share a room and have an obscene amount of toys. This toy box fit ALL of their toys in it with room for a ton more! It's even super way to assemble. They love it and it has actually made them want to keep their toys picked up and stored away at the end of each day! They also like to empty it out during the day and use it as a fort of sorts ;) I recommend this to anyone that has small children with too many toys! The only thing I have to complain about is the toy box is that the yellow door comes off very easily but it's just as easy to put back on as is it to take off.

The toy storage box is great. Delivered very easy and ready to go within minutes if you don't count placing stickers. Some posts say the drawer cover does not go down all the way and I think it's great that it does NOT. Little fingers get smashed that way and as I watched my boy close the drawer, I see why it was designed to not close all the way.Only problem is I can't keep my boys from climbing in and out of it. Because they use it as a jungle gym, they are more prone to cuts and scraps from the plastic inner edge. Wish they would have rounded those inside edges but the toy box is great regardless.

I just decorated my sons room in cars. I purchased lightning McQueen twin bed and looked for a toy chest. Most were too small. I found this one and thought it would be perfect. I am usually hesitant when purchasing online but I am so glad I purchased this. it is probably one of the biggest toy chest I've seen. it holds majority of my son's toys. As other reviews states the door does come off easy but it does snap back into place just as easily. it looks just as pictured. I would recommend to anyone. I think it took about 2 mins to put together.

This was much bigger than expected, and pretty deep. The top of it is flat and made to put a couple things on top like books. The only thing I could find wrong is the lid slides up to open and can catch a little when sliding up or down. But overall not bad for the price.

Purchased the bed that correlates with the chest and almost bought the dresser as well. The Storage chest is a glorified plastic storage bin and I am very unhappy with the price I paid. Not the seller's fault as the product sells 68-and up on the market. My husband almost flipped when he found out what I paid for it. I am very glad I did not purchase the dresser which is over 100. The bed that goes with the set is great but I was NOT a smart shopper when I purchased this. It is as tall as my 3 year old. He enjoys it as he climbs in and out and it is like a clubhouse to him. But to us it is just a glorified storage bin with a fancy lid.

I bought this for my grandson. It is big. The top is removable. However, the rim has velcro to help hold it on. The top has a little shelf--good for extra toys or puzzles. Small children will have a hard time reaching to the bottom of this toy chest. And the door can be hard for littles one. Overall, I like this item very much. It is simple, sturdy and very practical.

I like the stickers on the chest. It is heavy enough to withstand my grandson. My daughter removed the little yellow door, she didn't like it

My son loves it, but instead of a toy box, turned to using it as a place to hide. He loves using it as his secret hideout. I like that it has a drain plug as well if you were to use it outside. Not much else to say. It's great

Brilliant! My son loves it. I wanted something to store his Teddy's and soft toys that he could use himself without the worry of him trapping his fingers. No only is it easy to put together. It's light, easy to move and we still have room to fill! More toys needed! :-)
