I prefer a soft pillow. Every pillow that I bought was way too firm for me. Then, I was scrolling through Amazon and I saw the advertisement for this goose and duck down blend pillow. CRUELTY FREE!!! When I saw you could purchase your desired firmness level, and it had the choice of soft, I thought, why not try? When this pillow arrived, I immediately placed it on my bed and jumped in. I laid my head on it, and I was totally in love with it. The softness was perfect--not stiff at all. I am having the best nights sleep ever!!! Sure, it was pricey, but worth every sweet dream that I have!

The pillow is beautifully packaged and made very well. The down is squishy, but not "soft" as advertised in the "soft" choice. I ordered it because it is supposed to be extra soft and good for people with neck problems. I had to return it because there was too much fill and it never softened up enough for my neck. I contacted the company to be certain I had received the "Soft" version of the pillow. The white label has a faint stamp on the reverse side which read "soft". If you just want a beautiful down pillow and do not have specific neck problems, this might be the pillow for you. The company was very helpful. I wasn't happy I had to pay to return it.

I purchased this for my husband,whose beloved down "poobie" finally died a lumpy death. My research revealed this Queen Anne Pillow would be a good value. He says, after several nights, that it's a "poobie-in-training." Still a little bit too poofy (i.e., not soft) enough. We both think it will squish down soon to his preference. I took off one star because the cover fabric felt a little rough to me, although I can remedy that with the zippered cover I will purchase. I like very, very high quality organic, untreated cotton. However, I may purchase one of these as my own second pillow to replace a synthetic-fill one I use to prop my head when I read in bed. My down pillow is for actual sleeping. By the time my "sleeping" pillow wears out, this one would be just perfectly soft. I haven't washed this new one yet; I wash all down pillows at least once a year, and dry in several cycles of a low heat dryer with clean tennis balls. There are no dry cleaners in my city which clean or launder pillows. I know this cuts down on the life of the pillow, which is one other reason I wanted a good value. UPDATE MAY 5, 2017. This is a follow-up to my original review. I have added one more star, because this pillow only took a week or so to soften up. It's just great for my husband and exactly to his preference for a very soft down pillow. The cover is no big deal when I use soft organic cotton pillowcases. I definitely plan to purchase another one of these for myself very soon.Second Update:// I have just purchased this same pillow for myself. My spouse is still in love with the pillow. I find myself sneaking it when he stays up late reading. I now will have two down pillows and consider myself very fortunate indeed. This is a really good value pillow.

Wonderful night sleep. Side sleeper so ordered firm. Does NOT flatten. So glad we spent the money. (No odor, but automatically washed before using.). Thank you, Queen Anne.

I know everyone likes their pillow different, but this pillow is so empty I can squish it down to about the size of a basketball. It becomes completely flat when lying my head on it.

Disclaimer : I bought this pillow in conjunction with a new mattress.I don't know know if it's the new mattress or the pillow or the combination of them both . But I literally sleep 100 times better.At first I thought the pillow was a waste because it was like any other pillow . But after the first night of sleep on it , instant loveability.It does not smellI have not had anything come thru the fibersIt stays relatively cool.I guess there's a break in period because it's now starting to take shape like the "hotel" pillows we are used to .Very foldable. Head will sink in .. ✔️ good stuff .. o yeah this is for the real down review . I also bought synthetic one to compare and to be honest I've slept so good on the authentic down that I keep forgetting to try synthetic down. I did realize the synthetic does seem to fluff back up again and it's a little firm then the soft down that I have been using . So I've only used it for back support.Price could be better ... I mean I get a googly eyes when I tell someone I paid 140 for a pillow . But I mean people pay that for sneakers so ... Oh and the boxes still have them . The kids love playing in the boxes lmao so it's a win win ✔️

I got the medium fill king size and its too soft, its not holding up its shape I keep waking up during the night to adjust cause the fill keeps moving to the sides and I wake up with my head all the way down to the mattress, its an ok pillow but I don't think its going to last very long not worth $250 it would be better if it was a true medium firmness,* I was contacted by the company and they suggested a firmer pillow might be a solution so I am waiting to try that and see if that is better but just for the fact that they care enough to contact me and try to resolve already makes me happier so we’ll see how the new pillow feels. I received the new pillow and will be testing that out to see how it goes.
