Metal, not plastic!!
I don't know if I lost mine, or if my current luggage doesn't have one, but I NEEDED this strap! I figured since it was on sale, I'd try it out, and I'm glad I did. Of course, as timing would have it, I found the strap after my last big trip, but I have another one coming up in about a month, so I'm so glad to have it.While I haven't been able to put it into full use yet, I tried it out on my luggage, and so far so good. The thing I really like about this strap is that the buckle cover is made out of METAL. I was SHOCKED when I realized it. Usually they are crappy plastic and who knows how long it will last. The covers is made from metal and the O-ring is some soft of alloy, both of which should last a good long time. I can't wait to use this on my next trip, so I can strap my extra bag to my suitcase and also clip my jacket to my carry-on while wandering through the airport. This is going to make my life SO much easier!!!Now to clip it to my bag so I don't lose it!!!

YOU WON'T LOSE YOUR JACKET WITH THIS
I bought this because I live where one needs a jacket when traveling to the airport and then one gets too hot. It is too easy to leave the jacket or whatever, so this little unit easily attaches to the suitcase and when you take off your jacket, you clip it in to this strap and it will stay with you until you need it again. It can slide happily through the TSA area attached to the suitcase, so you won't leave the jacket or sweater on the TSA conveyer belt. I have even used it for carryon and have left the jacket connected to the small suitcase when I put it overhead. Most recently, I have clipped it to my purse and hook my purse to the grocery cart because several months ago, while looking at the rutabagals, someone grabbed my purse from the cart. I felt the jerk and grabbed it, but now, the clip makes me feel secure in the grocery if I look away from the cart for a second or so.

Sturdy & Strong
This has turned out to be a handy & useful gadget. I thought it would be just for traveling, but I've started using it daily. I keep it strapped on my tote bag that I take with me to work and strap my empty lunch bag to it. The metal clip is very strong and sturdy. It has a carabiner style clasp. I'm looking forward to using it on vacation. It will make maneuvering through the airport a little easier. I do wish the strap could expand a little larger, but it looks like it should work with my bags.

Favorite Travel Gizmo
I always leave this buckle loop attachment in my purse, especially when I attend conferences. It is a great way to attach a sweater or light jacket to my large purse so I don't accidentally leave it behind or keeps it on top of my purse when I'm walking around. Before I bought this, I would lay my sweater on my purse and try to hold it between the straps, and usually would drop my sweater. Now, this loop keeps everything onboard and stable. The item is small, lightweight, and easy to stow away when not in use.

Great if you're always warm and you hate carrying coats!
This purchase has been great for me. I'm always warm and I hardly ever need a sweater or a jacket, but I always feel like I should have one with me just in case. I live in a rainy climate, so it's nice knowing I have a rain jacket on hand. I'm most glad I don't have to use my hands/arms to carry a jacket or sweater, I can pretty much forget it's there until I need it. Small additional bonus for travelers: I looped this around a folded coat, then ended up using it as a kind of pillow at the airport.

Great luggage strap!
I don't know what I would do without this luggage strap. I used it while traveling this week and it was like I had an extra hand. I was able to securely fasten my travel pillow to my travel tote making it so nice walking down the aisle of the plane not dropping my pillow on the dirty floor. Going to the ladiesroom during my layover was havoc free, having not only my pillow but my sweater securley attached to my bag where I could hang it knowing nothing was going to fall on the dreaded bathroom floor. Great find, will not travel without it. Will definitely come un handy for other daytime outings as well. Would recommend to women, mom's, caregivers, even would work great to hang items from a walker or wheelchair.

Well crafted
My husband travels a LOT. The trip to and from Alaska can last up to 12 hours, so his carryon luggage and computer bag may start out feeling lightweight, but by the time he gets where he's going they feel like they weigh a ton. That's not even considering his checked luggage. This strap will work wonders helping him get all his stuff from place to place with a whole lot less hassle. The circular carabiner clip is heavy duty and so is the strap clip, which is metal unlike many clips that are plastic. The strap itself is one-inch-thick webbing which is easily adjustable both to tighten and loosen the strap. Overall, it's well crafted and feels like it's made to last.

Super useful for traveling and everyday use!
I was lucky enough to pick up this strap on sale right before my vacation to Hawaii. Holy cow, what a lifesaver it was. I have my carry on, a personal item, and a medical device that I take with me on the plane. With this strap I was able to join these together on my rolling carry on. I have never been so hand-free at an airport. It was perfect. The ring opens easy enough you can use one hand (and it's metal so I don't have to worry about it failing). Now that I am back I have it attached to my laptop backpack and I just hook my purse to the ring. Now I'm hands-free to and from work! So worth it!
