E Pluribus Vestum: From The Many, One Vest!
I have many jobs. As a result, I have many vests! I have formal vests for my DJ events. I have tactical style vests for when I do my firearms training classes. I have quilted "puffer" vests for keeping warm during our harsh Michigan winters. I repurposed my old photographer's vest when I did some traveling - it's great to just toss a vest into the X-ray tray and walk through with nothing in my pockets. This vest seems to have borrowed from all of them!Let me start out with the couple of things that I'm not very crazy about. When I picked up the package, it seemed impossibly small. That's because this arrived in a vacuum sealed plastic pouch. This has the affect of making it decidedly UN-puffy! Even after some vigorous fluffing and a couple days out in the air, it's a mass of wrinkles. Curiously, while there's plenty of pockets on the front, there are none on the inside. The zipper slide is on the left, like women's jackets. Lastly, the metal D rings are extremely light duty and look like some designer's idea of "military style," rather than a functional accessory.Buuut... I had to return some stars because it is actually very warm! It IS quilted, but doesn't look as if it's been blown up and ready for a pool party. The outside pockets are plentiful, most having Velcro type closures or zippers. On most days/missions, they'll be more than adequate. One surprise adaptation incorporated into this vest is a waist cinch, much like a formal vest, which can give even a tac vest a tailored look!But...those D rings...Well, while not as big and rugged as usual, they're perfectly suited for name tags, badge holders or a company I.D., with several locations to choose where to display it from. It can also be handy for parents of newborns to clip a pacifier to, or photographers to clip a meter or lens caps to. Not as useless as I first thought.Add the fact that it's fit is spot-on and it's super comfortable and I give this all 5 stars: credit where it's due!

ummmmm
As a little vest it's fine but many of the pockets are pretty much useless on it Some of them are so tiny you can't put anything in it and the ones that have a zipper actually just zipper into a big open part on the front which does not secure anything example a wallet or a phone it could slide out I'm going to see if I can revamp it and remake itI would not recommend it for any kind of outdoor adventure

Quite warm, tons of pockets, adjustable fit is great!
This comes vacuum sealed and the pillow pocket sections do need some massaging and fluffing out to get puffy again, a little bit of work, but very worth it.The material is "slippy", like a puffer coat, slides on and off easily and quickly, and is itself so light that it doesn't feel restrictive even when carrying tons of gear. The vest is quite warm for being so light, and is great under a coat for added comfort. The pockets are quite numerous, and mostly good, though the two tiniest ones without Velcro that just flap open are of dubious usefulness. The open near the armpit right chest pocket that goes into the breast of this is deep enough to get almost your entire lower arm in!My favorite feature though is the adjustment strap on the lower back of this, you can get it right to the small of your back easily for a very fitted/streamlined hug, which keeps the warmth from escaping out the bottom. It makes this look better on varying bodies by contouring the back, and it makes the jacket work better at keeping you toasty in cool weather, just a genius little touch, and makes me wish all jacket vests had one!I'm extremely happy with this, minus how flattened the pillow-y pocket sections of warming filler material were until I had broken them in a bit. Still, for how great this turned out to be, it was definitely worth the extra effort. 5-stars!

Nice vest, some issues, size chart is bonkers!
This is a nice vest, great for a quick "grab and go" layer of clothing. Where I live, it gets hot and cold, and the weather can change quickly. We say, "If you don't like the weather, just wait 15 minutes." So, the best answer for a lot of us is to have "layers" of clothing readily available, to quickly and easily add on ... or remove.I generally like the vest, and expect I'll get some good use out of it. It seems to me to be a combination of a fishing vest, with lots of pockets ... and a vest to add a layer of warmth to the core of my body. Given the right circumstances, I can see that these very many pockets could be quite handy. However ...The vest was shipped to me in a vacuum-packed plastic bag. I'm sure that saves space in shipping the product from China to the US. However, after I got the vest out of its vacuum packing, it "puffed out" just fine, but was severely wrinkled. After hanging it up overnight, some of the wrinkles fell out of the vest, but, it's still very wrinkled. When I put the vest on, I immediately noticed that the zipper was on the left side of the vest, like women's zippered clothing here in the US, rather than on the right-hand side. And the zipper is smaller in size than most men's vest or jacket zippers. So, although the Amazon listing says that this is a men's vest, the zipper is sized and located more like a woman's vest. And ... sheesh ...the sizing chart on this Amazon listing is absolutely bonkers! (I'm hoping that by the time you get to read this review, the Seller will have this fixed!)I've uploaded three screenshots of different sizing info ... or sizing charts that are on this Amazon Listing. One screenshot depicts I think maybe from Amazon, words that probably XL will fit me the best. But, when I click the link located directly under these words ... that says "size chart," this chart says that XL would be the correct size for someone with a chest size of 50.4 inches. (And the top of the chart says that the measurements are for a "US Corduroy Button Down Jacket." I think they have the wrong chart?)THEN ... further down on the listing, a SECOND size chart says that XL would be the correct size for someone with a chest size of 18.31 inches. HUH? (I knew you wouldn't believe me, that's why I uploaded the screenshots!)I measured my chest size, just wrapped a piece of paracord around my chest, then measured the paracord. My male chest is 44 inches.Enough of all of that ... I hope the Seller gets this fixed properly pronto ... or they're going to have plenty of problems with returns.I took a shot at the XL size vest and it fits my 44 inch chest properly. This vest also has a tightening strap and clasp in the back, I suppose to adjust the waist of the vest so that it fits snugly. (Again, this seems more desirable for women than for men?) And ... whether or not the loose end of the adjusting strap is attached, or not attached to the buckle, it hangs down, and in my opinion, just looks sloppy. I'll probably just cut both of the adjusting straps off so that nothing is hanging down in the back.So ... this is a decently nice vest, it just has some issues that perhaps weren't thought through well enough for men in the US market and the sizing chart.
