This is, at the heart, a really good bird feeder. I appreciate the closely “knit” wire mesh and design of the top baffle to keep squirrels out. I love the telescoping design that allows the height of the feeder to be adjusted. The copper finish is also very pretty.I absolutely do not like the way it hangs. A tiny hook wraps around the hanging cable; that’s how you make a loop to hang it with. There’s no way to secure it to a particular height; it slides as it will. Which is similar to the lid — you cannot secure it tightly so it slips around (and makes a bit of a CLANG! when it does). The issue has to do with the design of the cable’s connection to the top/lid of the feeder. It’s too tall to allow the lid to close flush and I’m afraid trying to find a fix would only break the feeder.Wish I could give this a 5, but the extremely annoying problems keep it a 3.
