Great wee home office shredder
Bought this wee shredder at a discount from Amazon warehouse. Fast arrival, came with damage package but product look good as new with film stickers still on. I had another shredder for 10 years and still working but had to leave it at my friend's. Presently surprised with this new one's performance and ease of use. It is louder than my previous one but it has a drawer type design for the cross cut paper which is extremely handy. As well as a nice padded handle to lift the shredder and carry it to where ever you like. Took me just under 3 hours with rest time to shred a whole grocery carrier bag of document. I estimate that's about 4000 sheets of documents. Tips for non regular paper shredder, make sure you wait until the shredder had done it's job and the shredder sound has finished before loading more papers. Yes, it can shred 7 sheets of paper but if you going to shred a bag/ box full of document in a go, why would you want to stress the machine so much?? I would just load 3-4 sheets maxi at a time and rotate with 1-2 sheets. This wee home office shredder kept going for half an hour before needing a break. The shredder's drawer design makes left mess than the top lift shredder and so much more convienent to empty the shredded papers which was cutted small enough to prevent faudster from obtaining any information. The removable bin is 12L which is slightly smaller than the more standard 15L ones but hey, it lets the machine rest for 1-2mins whilst you empty the bin which is great if you want to keep shredding for half an hour. My years of documents all shredder under 3 hours, well pleased! Great design and looks good in my home office. Let's hope it last for as long as my previous shredder.

A good step up from basic shredders
This is the third shredder I have owned.Previously we bought 'cheapy' type shredders for around the 20 pounds mark. While they did the job, every year or so when we would have a clear out of the 'office' they would invariably overheat, jam and, when they did work, were very noisy. We thought this was normal behaviour for a shredder, we didn't know any better - but this time, as I fed reams of paper into our budget model (3 sheets at a time despite the claims to do 5 - in your dreams buddy!) I finally got around to looking at what else was on offer.Reading various reviews on Amazon, the main contenders came down to various Fellowes or Rexel machines. I decided to go for something quite a bit beefier than what I had been using before, and decided that a 10 sheet at a time minimum would be my baseline. So, Fellowes or Rexel? I looked at the Fellowes P-58C Cross Cut Shredder with SafeSense Technology and went so far as to download the pdf manual from their web-site. After every use you have to oil it! Well, I don't mind a bit of maintenance every now and then, but every time?!Sorry Fellowes, you're out. Then it left a choice of Rexel models, which one would it be? I liked the look of these 'Style' models, slightly less 'functional office' and more 'home/executive office'. So it comes down to 3 models, the 2 smaller siblings, or this one, the big brother. The 2 smaller offerings from Rexel may be 'man-enough' for the job, but having been bitten (twice) by inferior products, I was inclined to go with the ProStyle, as opposed to the Rexel Style Plus Shredder 2101946 or the Rexel Style 5 Sheets Confetti Cut Shredder With 7.5L Bin.I'm glad I chose this model, as it has made shredding far less of a chore. No need to seperate documents into individual pages before shredding and it is so much quieter than what I am used to. I always thought of shredders as being noisy, tempremental machines - well, no more. This is a pleasure to live with. Slightly larger than base models, a little heavier too, but it looks and works so much better.Another huge plus point is the bin, it slides out from the front (side? depends which way you have it facing I suppose!), so no more having to lift the top of the machine off spreading debris over the floor.Thank you Rexel, for producing something so capable and easy to live with!

Looks great, sleek design, pretty quiet, chomps through the paper
Replaced very old Rexel shredder. I liked the spec on this - cross cut and capable of taking up to 11 sheets at a time coupled with the reduction from £271.99 (how much! - would never have paid that for a shredder) to £69.97(thank you!). Unpacked, setup and using within minutes of receipt. Cleared my shredding backlog over a couple of days. It is quiet and efficient but it really does only shred for about 3 minutes at a time before the induction motor heat sensor pauses for cooling. I think that this is fine in normal use - you come along with a handful of papers, shove them in and leave as it chomps through them. The fact that it can take up to 11 sheets (of 80 gsm paper - photocopy stuff) makes shredding much faster. I doubt that you would get three minutes of continuous shredding of 11 sheets of paper at a time as the motor will be working hard and heat up more quickly than under a lighter load. It is easy to see how full the bin is, remove it, empty it and replace - do keep your eye on how full the bin is to prevent the shredder from clogging up. As long as it is also a reliable product then I will be very satisfied with this purchase.

Cannot use safely in Australia
This product came with a UK plug - I inquired through the company that covers the warranty in australia and they replied it was best to get a refund on this product but the return window had already closed

Buena oferta
La destructora es muy buena y corta en trocitos pequeños. Puede cortar hasta siete hojas a la vez. Es de buena calidad, lo único es que trae enchufe de UK pero no es problema con un adaptador. Un saludo!!

Looks ok but came with a non-Aust plug!
See above. Interestingly the instruction book made reference to Australian warranty so I’m not sure why it came with a UK plug!
