Question 1

How to know what size of vinyl do I need for my project?

Accepted Answer

Measure the longest points of your project, keeping in mind VViViD vinyl is always 5ft wide. Use a sizing chart for reference, buy a little more extra vinyl for errors, and use seams for large surfaces if needed.

Question 2

Can my vinyl wrap survive the winter?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Your vinyl wrap can survive winter with proper care. Use a ceramic coating like FUSE for protection, wash regularly with a vinyl-safe soap, avoid scrapers, and don’t use hot water or high-pressure washers. Park in a garage when possible.

Question 3

What tools do I need to wrap my car?

Accepted Answer

You'll need a heat gun to stretch and set the vinyl, a knife for precise cuts, a squeegee to smooth out air bubbles, buffers for the squeegee edges to prevent scratches, and a tucking tool for clean edges and tight spaces.

Question 4

Why VViViD vinyl wraps are better than paint?

Accepted Answer

At VViViD Vinyl, our wraps are more affordable than paint, fully reversible, and protect your car’s original finish. Unlike paint, wraps resist chips, UV damage, and scratches. Plus, they install faster and offer endless design possibilities!

Question 5

Does this vinyl wrap require a heat gun for installation?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you will need a heat gun as the vinyl's adhesive is heat activated. Heat softens the vinyl which makes it more pliable and stretchable, making it a lot either install. Post heating also contributes to the long term durability of the vinyl wrap.
