Works very well
Using it to connect to an Apple monitor (Mini Display In) from a Dell laptop (HDMI out).

Does not work with Mac Mini M1
The media could not be loaded. Alone does not work then I connect the other monitor and this going crazy in system settings both appears but only ones comes on and is the one NOT using this adapter Mac Mini running Sonoma 14.1.1Also tried to connect to am Ipad Pro and the screen looks purple. Unable to contact anyone, if you ask my monitor is the 27 Cinema Display with Mini Display port not Thunderbolt

Does NOT work with Apple LED Cinema Display W/Mini DisplayPort
This does not work with Apple LED Cinema Display. Need to use Answin adapter instead.

I broke my displayport for my macbook pro so this was amazing when i found it.
Happy that this exists because i broke my displayport for my macbook pro and only have hdmi out and really need to use the displayport output I bought two! thank you!

Not compatible with M1 MacBook Pro ↔️ Apple Cinema Display
The dongle itself seems good, but functionally it just does not work for my specific computer (Apple M1 MacBook Pro) and display (Apple Cinema Display with mini DisplayPort).When I connect the screen’s mini DisplayPort plug into the dongle, and then connect the dongle’s HDMI plug into my computer’s port, my computer starts to act like a new display is being connected, but the Cinema Display never cuts on. It doesn’t even flicker. But my computer is constantly showing and hiding windows as if another display is about to turn on. That continues until I disconnect the dongle.I was really hoping this would work because I’ve tried other dongles to go into the usb c port, but for some reason that never turned my Cinema Display on either. Especially because the product listing images seem to show that it should work with this specific display.Just for others in the same boat, it seems like it may be that the M1 MacBooks just don’t recognize these types of dongles when connected to an old Cinema Display.Since it doesn’t work for my situation I’ve sent it back for a refund. I can’t speak fully to the product since it didn’t work for me, but it seems like it should have :(
