This works! It is easy to use and well made.

I bought this item as I’ve got neuropathy and I keep catching my fingers when I’m cutting. It’s ideal as the knife fits between the slits and the tool however pull the little loop at the end when you got off thick hands is quite difficult to push it and pull it in and out and the knife area could do with being a bit longer. It opens wide enough which is really great and it’s good for holding the beef while you cut it but since joints Ibiza bigger than tomatoes I found it a bit difficult but I will continue to use this and it’s a very useful idea. I just wish they made the cutting area a lot longer for people with arthritis andropathy that can’t feel their hands this would enable them a lot more.

There is a spring in the handle which broke after less than 2 months light domestic use. Apparently the 'Return window' closed last month so I may have to rely on the Distance Selling Regulations to try and get my money back.

Good value for money stainless steel product very good

Although the slicer looked good & seemed very well made and safe to use I was very disapointed when I attempted to use the item. I followed the directions and found that the standard size tomatoes that I had bought were too small for the holder and wobbled when I went to slice them. The same happened when I went to slice some onions. It only worked for largish onions, so not able to use most in the net. It's a shame because it's appearance promised more.
