I remember the OG tangle toy from my own youth, so I saw these and thought they would make such cute stocking stuffers for the littles in my life. They are definitely fidget style and work for that if that's a need in your littles' (or your own!) life, but they don't have to be. They're fun to play with and move around and create different shapes with for all people. They're also silent, so if you or your littles need a way to keep hands busy and minds moving without some of the snap, crackles, and pops of other fidgets, this in a great option!The age range listed is 3+. I'm sure if you try really hard the toy can be broken, but the tangle doesn't come apart and therefore the small pieces of the pet are also not able to be detached - so aside from maybe biting them off, it's a fairly safe toy and I definitely think would be okay all the way down to 3.I do really appreciate the girl-coded fidgets in a world that often ignores neurodivergence in girls. To be clear, these are definitely for all kiddos. Puppies are for everyone. Flamingos are for everyone. Pink is for everyone. Blue is for everyone. Yet, in a world where the focus and research on neurodivergence continues even today to be about the way it presents in boys and boy needs, I think it's great for there to be a girl minded option, regardless of what kiddos want and use this toy/fidget. I appreciate tangle thinking about how wide their audience might be and including widely appealing options, that aren't just default boy options that "girls can use too of course."

These are a slightly smaller version of what my kids played with when they were young.The little animal heads are adorable.The tail could come off and get lost if you take the links apart.Still a very fun fidget toy to keep a child entertained with.These do come apart and could be a problem for small children.My grandkids think they're nice.

These are cute fidget toys. They move around very easily. I even carry one around in my bag to use while nervous or board. Light weight and durable for even the roughest kid usage. Makes for a good stocking stuffer

I have tried out a wide variety of fidget toys over the years and can confidently say these Tangle Jr. Pets are top tier. There is something so soothing about the way the pieces click together and form a complete circle that weaves in and around your hand as you fidget with it. Not to mention the precious little pet that comes affixed to each tangle. The little face of the character is sweet and draws in your attention, helping to calm racing thoughts and recenter the mind. I love the fun colors that make these easy to find in a backpack or purse. I put these out on my coffee table and have had multiple friends and family members pick them up and play with them for upwards of an hour during conversation or while watching a movie or a show. I also keep one in my purse. These are great in waiting rooms, traffic, and just when you need something at the ready for your busy or anxious mind. These would make great stocking stuffers for kids and adults alike and I am a huge fan!

These are essentially a fidget. I’ve gotten similar items for my kids before but these caught my attention because of the cute little animals on them, and I was right-they were a hit. Since six came in the pack we shared one with a friend too and all the kids were very excited and talked about how cute they were. They had fun unwrapping and trying to rewrap the tangle, it got used as a crown, they played with it as a bracelet, necklaces for the stuffed animals-you name it. They really enjoyed these ones more than the plain kinds I’ve gotten before and had a lot of fun comparing the various characters and animals and even naming them. Girls and boys both, preK ages. Would be fun as a small prize, a surprise toy for a trip or a stocking stuffer!
