Hamilton Beach SmartChop Chopper (72950)

This product is extremely easy to use. It is also very, very well-made as one would expect from Hamilton Beach. While it can be used as a regular food processor, the reason I got it was because I have been looking for something that would chop onions for meatloaf or carrots for carrot cake. Basically it shops vegetables fine enough so they do meatloaf or cake or any other baked item can hold together. Other products and I have tried have eother chopped things too large or puréed them.This is extremely easy to use, to clean and the SmartCup makes all the difference.

This chopper is great when you don't want to have to bring out the big food processor. Chops quickly and I like that you can actually grate things in this one. Doesn't take up much counter space at all. Easy to clean. Easy to use.

I bought this chopper a few months ago and I thought it wasn’t going to work when i saw the blade inside that looked like a juicer blade. But so far it’s working great. Inside it is a grey tub full of holes about 1/4” diameter which food passes through and collects below. I use it that way to chop things to that size..including nuts and mushrooms. The grey tub is removable and without it, it chops very fine... I use it that way to chop nuts into the consistency of granulated sugar. I’m happy with this purchase although i have no other chopper to compare it to.

I ordered this chopper for my best friend for Christmas. It arrived quickly, was packaged properly and was a great price! I don't know how easy to use or clean it is yet, but it appears to be incredibly sturdy. The plastic is heavy and thick, and looks and feels like it will last a long time. I am very pleased.

Does a great job on veggies like carrots, sweet potatoes, and other really hard root veggies. Does not work on cabbage or hard cheese or much of anything else you might want to shred/chop. I had hope it would be more useful. Takes up a bit more space than warranted for a kitchen gadget that has such limited use. Haven't tried cauliflower yet, but if it works to make cauliflower rice, I might bump up the rating to four stars. At least it was inexpensive.

this tool will change my life forever. The size of the chopped vegetables is right, not too big, not too small.It's also pretty easy to clean.

Compact which is good. Performance was poor. The food did not come out of the sides like it states. The food turned out mushy and the remaining was in slithers. Too late to return so I donated it, hoping someone else would have better luck at it than I did. I own a lot of Hamilton Beach products just was disappointed in this one.

Very pleased with product. Arrived on time. Easy to clean and use.

It works as it was explained. It actually chopped everything, no big pieces left behind!

All good so far

There were no user-friendly directions on how to use the product just for pureeing. Then WAAAy more cumbersome than using a blender. I bought as a present for someone to replace the veggie chopper you have to press down on. This makes chopped onion pieces that are too large and does not have the same clean-cut appearance as the press down non-electric veggie chopper so it has spent more time on the counter than in use.

I bought this machine in January 2019 and used in April , I used just twice and after that Machine is not working at all I wish I can return this .
