A Reliable and Versatile Pencil for All Your Needs
Pavaquil Woodcased Yellow #2 Pencils are a premium and affordable choice for school, office, and art. They are made with high-quality materials and feature a durable wood casing and a smooth HB lead. The pencils are also pre-sharpened, so you can start using them right away. Here are some of the pros and cons of Pavaquil Woodcased Yellow #2 Pencils:Pros:High-quality materialsDurable wood casingSmooth HB leadPre-sharpenedAffordableVersatilePerfect for schools or teachersCons:Packaging was horrible, will need container for pencilsI have been using these wood-cased yellow #2 Pencils for a few weeks now, and I am very happy with them. We got them for our kids to use in school and at home. The pencils are well-made and write smoothly. I also love the fact that they are pre-sharpened. This has saved me a lot of time and hassle.Pavaquil Woodcased Yellow #2 Pencils are also very versatile. I have used them for everything from writing and drawing to taking notes and sketching. The pencils are also great to donate to a school or classroom if you have more than you can use or want. The packaging that the pencils arrived in was horrible. The pencils are all sharpened and in a box, but there is no packing material of any kind in the box and the box that I received was falling apart and was ripping at the corners. When you open the box, all you will see is pencils, no packing material, no container, nothing but pencils. This means that you will need some sort of container or something to store them in. We of course put some in our pencil boxes and pen/pencil caddies on desks, the remainder went in our totes that we have that hold extra school supplies.Overall, I highly recommend Pavaquil Woodcased Yellow #2 Pencils. They are a great value for the price and are perfect for a variety of uses.

Honestly, these were a pleasant surprise
We go through a lot of pencils in my household. And my wife is a kindergarten parapro who has become something of a subject matter expert on pencil quality. She complains that cheap pencils break easily when sharpened and tend to have crappy erasers. When I saw this mega box of pencils available, I was dubious but the reviews seemed quite positive, so thought I'd give it a chance. We went into it very skeptical, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Especially my wife, who assumed these would be typical no-name cheap pencil quality, but they actually turned out to be much higher quality than we expected.1000 pencils makes for a reasonably heavy box, and my only real complaint was that the packaging could have been a bit more robust. The box arrived torn open on two ends, with a few pencils escaping and rattling around loose inside the outer shipping box, but even then the points weren't broken! The wife put them through her gauntlet of tests and despite being skeptical when I ordered them, declared them to be a winner. They didn't break when sharpened, the erasers erase cleanly, and being pre-sharpened was a bonus. The only minor complaint she had was that the softness of the erasers will most likely lead to the eraser being used up long before the pencil is.Overall I can recommend these pencils with no reservation.

Good pencils overall, poor erasers and packaging.
As a band teacher, I don't allow pens in my band room (no writing on music in pen!). Having gotten tired of harassing students about pencils, I make an effort to provide them as needed, and a lot of them walk away, so I get the cheapest ones I can find. These didn't disappoint from that end. They are inexpensive, in a HUGE quantity, and are pre-sharpened.The erasers are poor--they gum up quickly and don't erase cleanly (see picture for an example). As my pencils usually disappear before things need to be erased, that's not a huge deal for me, but worth noting, especially for those who may make mistakes! As many others noted, the packaging is too flimsy to store the pencils upon arrival. Though the shipping box was undamaged, there was a nest of pencils inside that shipping box that had burst out of the packaging. I did manage to tape the packaging back together to hold the pencils, then spent 30 minutes getting 1000 pencils back in their box to take to school (took a while to make sure I didn't stab myself as they all kept their sharp point!)

Great pencils, awful packaging. Get yourself a cat litter bucket, it's a perfect fit.
The pencils that I received are great, but their packaging is awful. The product package is super flimsy cardboard and not at all strong enough to hold the weight of a heavy product and unsurprisingly it was broken upon arrival. Thankfully, the pencils all stayed inside the shipping box.The only reason my review is still five stars instead of four is that despite the box breaking and the pencils being jumbled all over the shipping container during transit, NOT A SINGLE PENCIL TIP WAS BROKEN and all of the pencils were still in great condition. This says a LOT about the quality of the pencils themselves.Since my package was broken, I needed to come up with a storage solution for my 1000 pencils. Thankfully, it was just before recycling day and I had an empty cat litter bucket on hand and it was the PERFECT size and shape for holding all the pencils, and it has the added bonus of having a built in handle. If you don't have a cat, I am sure that you know someone who does. A litter bucket will make storing and carrying these much easier for you.I got these with the intention of customizing them on my laser engraver. I haven't made the jig yet or gotten skilled enough to do this yet, but it is what I plan to do with them. I wrote with one to test it out, and it writes smoothly and it felt good in my hand. It felt like a classic Meade pencil, not one of the cheapo pencils that have the thinner/more brittle wood.I'm happy with the pencils that I received. Hopefully they improve their packaging boxes in the future though.
