The Perfect Bat
A very well made bat &, as described, it has fantastic spin & decent speed . Control is even better because it is less responsive to incoming spin when blocking with a flat bat & yet offers another gear when imparting topspin in particular by brushing over the top of the ball quickly with a closed face & the ball really kicks off impressively. My previous bat & rubbers were fast & spinny with poor control but this is the perfect replacement & I have been delighted with it in both practice & matches & , finally, my unforced errors have reduced dramatically due to the brilliant control that it delivers.I also received a very friendly & personal service & the double bat cover is also of top quality.

Great Bat, excellent control, Decent speed
I had been playing table tennis for a number of years in my younger days and recently started playing again at work and wanted a step up from the usual £20-£30 bats. I have certainly not been disappointed with this bat. It has the perfect balance of attack vs control and blocking is very good. I am often asked "how did I get that back" when using this bat.As an intermediate player the Eastfield Ashwood Offensive is the perfect balance of attack and control and I am very happy with it. I have used other bats since like a Timo Boll Forte offensive bat with Tenergy 05 fx 2.1 rubbers on each side and just found it so much more uncontrollable although this is probably more of a reflection on my ability at the moment.I will continue with the Eastfield Offensive for a long time and think its the perfect bat for somebody who doesn't want to sacrifice control for speed.

OK but rubbers need constant cleaning.
Took a week to arrive, good quality and well made. Only trouble is the surface of the rubbers loose their stickiness very quickly and need cleaning. Never had this problem with my £10 sports shop bat.

Good balance of attack and control for competitive games
Moved up from the all round bat- it’s a different weapon and needs to be used aggressively - clues in the name! It’s not much fun when knocking around with the kids but is excellent when you get a decent opponent. I have a few offensive bats now but this is the most usable at my skill level - I’m not a pro but been playing a few years. Recommend both their rackets - my Mrs loves the allrounder takes a decent amount of my attack out and allows her more control than I get out of the offensive - evens the game up at our levels.

Poor quality
Ordered it second time but this time there were dents in the bat. Poor quality check before sending the bat. Won’t be buying again from them

Absolutely delighted
I have now used my new Eastfield bat (which arrived on time and in perfect nick) 3 times and am delighted with it.The initial impression (echoed by my pals when they picked it up) is that it has a good weight to it - neither too heavy nor too light and has a good balance and an allround good "feel" to it.The blade is reassuringly thick and the tapered handle is just right. In play the bat is very forgiving - hence the 10/10 for control I guess - this is very helpful when you are a slogger like me - speed and spin are great and an added bonus is that despite being classed as "offensive" - blocking smashes with it is a cinch.I have previously used and been very happy with my Palio Legend II although it was beginning to lose its "powers" lately (or maybe that was me) - the new Eastfield bat is a leap on from that.A couple of my pals who I let use the bat for a game were rather reluctant to hand it back !
