Ticks all the boxes
I cook for others frequently and have been trying different products to package foods in that don't have to be washed and retuned. These are exactly what I've been hoping for. They come in different sizes so I can put the entree in one size, the side dishes in the smaller one. They don't slice your fingers like the aluminum containers do, the food doesn't soak through quickly (it does eventually) so I don't worry about saucy leakage from the bottoms. I live in an area where we put food scraps in our green waste and these are compostable!! That is a big plus for me! They keep the food warm relatively well -- better than plastic containers. If I need longer temperature control, I just wrap the whole thing in aluminum foil (also recyclable). Yes, the little slots at the ends are a bit fragile as others have mentioned, but there are far more great things about these containers to make them worth every penny. Love them.

Way better than expected
I grabbed these on a whim before thanksgiving not expecting great things. However, they are strong and stack up nicely. We sent family home with Thanksgiving leftovers and they held up, even with heavier foods. We kept some at our house with green bean casserole and mashed potatoes and they didn’t soak through like I was expecting. Very happy with these.

Very Good! but don't use them for pure liquids
I was a little surprised at the high quality of these containers. I mean, I half expected them to be a little flimpsy like those french-fry trays you get at drive-in diners. But these are more of an egg-carton texture, and that makes them sturdy. The lids fit well. They're great for taking salads or sandwiches or chips from a big bag to work, which is my primary use. What I have NOT tried them for, and won't, is for primarily liquids, like soup or stews. I really don't know if they could hold up to that or not, so I can't say, but again, as it's basically egg-carton type material, that doesn't seem to be the intended purpose anyway. I am VERY happy with these and plan to get more.

I'm in disbelief at how well these containers performed!
The media could not be loaded. When I first took out the bowls I chuckled and my first thought was, there is NO WAY these bowls will ever get 5 stars. They feel like thick craft paper, IT'S PAPER!I decided to use one for my leftover fried rice. When I put the lid on, it felt a little flimsy. I didn't think the lid would stay on if I transported the container to work. The next morning, I took out the container and it looked just as good coming out as it did going in. I was surprised the steam and refrigerator had no effect on the container. I threw it in my lunch bag and tossed other items on top and it survived the trip.At lunch, I threw it in the microwave. The bowl was not too hot to handle but the rice inside was quite hot. Still, nothing had seeped through. The bowl retained its shape and the lid still snapped on.Before I left for the day, I decided to add liquid to the leftover rice and leave it overnight. There's no way the bowl would survive another night, especially not now that I added liquid. After I added the liquid I thought why not tip it over to see if it can hold liquids. This paper bowl and flimsy lid can't possibly hold in liquids - but it did. No leaking. The following morning I was anxious to get to work because I knew the bowl would be dissolved. That's two nights with food, being microwaved, and letting liquid sit overnight. NO WAY IT SURVIVED - but it did.Having had such a negative preconception of these bowls at first glance, I have to say that they have humbled me. It's true when they say do not judge a book by its cover. These bowls really exceeded my expectations. Not only did they pass the leak and seeping test, they are biodegradable. I can bury these in my garden to provide my fruits and veggies nutrients as it decomposes.

This is not 48 oz
The media could not be loaded. This container might be 12 to 16 oz horrible description and containers also come in bags that are twist tied so I'm unsure this is sanitary

NO - They are NOT leakproof!
These may be suitable for dry foods but definitely not for sauces and soups. Within a 1/2 hour the bottoms had bee leaked through. I had to line a new dish with Saran Wrap before putting Meatballs and Sauce in it. Takes away the "Organically Compostable" feature. I will not be a sucker and buy these again.

Great food containers
Wonderful. So happy I found these. They hold hot food and go in the microwave without a problem. I try to avoid plastic for the environment and for our health, and I definitely prefer to microwave in these than in plastic. The containers aren't too hot to hold coming out of the microwave. I feel good about the fact that they are made from sugar cane, which grows quickly, and that they're compostable. I was a little concerned that the website says that they're bamboo and sugar cane, but the packaging only talked about sugar cane. Either way, they are both healthier and more environmentally friendly than plastic or even paper made from hard wood.
