ABN Spark Plug Puller Remover Socket Tool, 3/8in Drive x 16mm x 12 Point pt x 10in Length – for Vehicle Plug Removal

I bought the 16mm (5/8") socket and it is both thin walled (outside diameter is about 0.83") and well constructed. It affords peace of mind in that the socket firmly holds the spark plug to help ensure that it is will not be cross-threaded during installation and it will not separate and drop the socket and/or plug into a recessed well like a conventional spark plug socket might. It fits nicely into the tight diameter plug well on my Miata and is a great addition to my wrench set. Note that it is a 3/8"drive socket so if you have a 1/2' drive torque wrench, you will need a 1/2" to 3/8" adapter.

Needed to change spark plugs on a Mazda Tribute, plugs are 16mm and deep inside valve covers. My standard plug socket barely fit so I went looking and found this .Puller fits perfectly and gave me ample clearance above engine (valve cover wires + coils) to swing socket and torque wrench.Good grip on spark plug (so no dropping the plug ~4 inches into engine and screwing up the gap.Puller is solid steel, can't wait to use it again as a puller or as a hammer/rock smasher :)

This tool was absolutely perfect for my needs. I bought it to try and remove a lower unit shift cable nut from a mercruiser alpha one gen 2 outdrive. It sits in a hole too deep for a traditional deep well socket. It worked incredibly and was well worth the money. Great product, I highly recommend it.

Great tool , decently built for the price. A little long for doing sparks plugs unless it’s on top of the engine. I’m a Subaru tech and I use this thing for more than just spark plugs. The long reach works great to get breaks done and wheels bearings. Really it’s just a long 14mm socket.

This is far superior to any deep socket for removing spark plugs. I stumbled upon this in a blog for Toyota spark plug replacement. So glad I found this great spark plug remover tool. It makes replacing my spark plugs so much easier. I highly recommend this tool.

I know when buying this product, that the well of the socket would be shorter than I wanted it, the socket having a magnetic well and all. I thought the well would at least go 2 - 1 1/2 inches deep in the socket, but the well is 1 in.That may work for standard size spark plugs, but if you have the abnormal long sized ones, the short well may not allow the socket to reach the hexagonal base of the plug, which means you can't unscrew or screw in the plugs. Which really defeats the purpose of having this long 5 in plus socket.You can see from the 3/8s end of the socket that the rest of the socket is hollow. What I plan to do is to see if the magnetic base is press in and see if I can knock it out, allowing for a well as deep as the socket is. If not, I may have to drill a hole. This socket would be good for fuel tank straps or parking brake adjusters with long bolts or studs.This is why I gave it a 3/5. Even though I knew I was buying this for use that wasn't built for, the applications that could be used for are narrow to slim because of the ridiculously shallow well.

Bought a second one for the tool box on our dock - these make pulling plugs much MUCH easier than using “stubby” sockets AND are invaluable in preventing the disastrous cross threading of plugs when screwing them back that occurs so often when encountering the “slop” of using a “stubby” socket on an extension!

Love the length of the socket makes removing spark plugs much easier for deep plugs in coil on plug applications. Great value for the money.
