External Blu-ray Drive, BD Player with Read/Write Capability Portable Blu-ray Player with USB 3.0 and Type-C CD/DVD Burner 3D Blu-ray Drive Compatible with Win10 and Mac OS,Drive Blu Ray Player for PC

I have a computer with an Apple on the back, and they no longer put a disk drive. I’ve always had one in use it. I decided to get a disk drive so I can watch movies and rip CDs. The product worked as intended, but could not figure out how to make things 3-D as I believe you need a 3-D capable device connected to it. I have a 3-D TV but there’s no way to connect this to that. Overall, it’s a product that works as it should and is compact.

The media could not be loaded.  I have been using Blu-ray burner for the last 15 years, easily, the last that I had, was placed in the case of my computer.Recently, my computer crashed/broke, started not working, and I had to upgrade it, having a new case, but the new case had no room for my old Blu-ray burner.I liked a lot this Blu-ray player/burner, because it's portable, it's USB! and I can use it in everywhere, comparing with my old one, that I had to connected to the Sata Port, and had to be powered with the same computer connectors inside.With this one, I can use it with my Macbook, my computer, or in other laptops.I liked that is pretty slim! Easy to connect and to handle.My only "downsize" is that it's not so compatible to work with any video player.It's necessary to use certain specific software in Mac like MacGo or PowerDVD for Windows.Seems to be that you can burn Blu-rays, but the information it's not clear, I have not tried to burn Blu-rays, because I don't have discs yet to burn it.The player works pretty good, having the software that you can download.And so satisfied to have it, because I'm not attached just to my computer to burn DVD's or Blu-rays.

Excuse mess on my desk. Great addition if you have a mini computer or a Chromebook with no disk drive. Will be using to back up my blu ray collection.

I bought a slim laptop that doesn’t have a cd/dvd player in it. I was looking for external cd/dvd player. It serves the purpose well

I tested this with both a mini PC and a full Desktop PC. With the desktop PC, everything worked just as you would expect. Plug in the single USB-C part of the cable and it is automatically detected in Windows 11 and is ready for use. Pop in a disc and it works great. Access speeds seem on par with any other drive. The device isn't terribly loud, per se, but you can very plainly hear the laser read head seeking and you can hear the slight whir of a disc spinning in the device. This could be distracting if you're trying to watch a quiet movie on disc but otherwise it doesn't seem bad or too distracting. The noise of this is portable device is more noticeable since this disc reader isn't buried inside a desktop PC case.Beware, though! I could not use this device on my mini PC, though. My mini PC only has 2 USB-A ports. Since this device comes with a dual-headed USB-C and USB-A cable, I used one of my USB-C to USB-A adapters to make both plugs now USB-A. Unfortunately, that did not work. Using one plug didn't work. Even plugging both in did not - the drive was never recognized. In fact, every couple of seconds, its green light would go on and you would hear the drive head seek. This happened whether I used one plug or both. It keep having that behavior until I unplugged it. Not sure why but maybe the mini PC doesn't provide enough power for the drive to work??? I don't know.Going back to my desktop machine, it works great and the portability is nice. Unfortunately, it just isn't portable across both of my primary computers.

I was able to plug this into my pc and it was recognized super quick with plug and play and all that. It runs pretty quiet, but you have to find a decent blu-ray software in order to actually use it. It has a groove underneath where you can tuck the cable into when not in use.

Will not play DVDs let alone Burn them
