Universal Charcoal Cooker Hood Carbon Filter Refill Activated Granules (4 x 400g)

Replacement filters cost about £27 for two for my AEG Cooker Hood.With a little bit of effort this comes down to approximately £5 for replenishing the granules in the existing filters.Just untwist the filter components (do it outdoors if possible in case it unsnaps suddenly and scatters the granules) dispose of the used granules, wash thoroughly the two parts of the filter to get rid of any grease etc that are on the case parts.... Then RECHARGE the filters with half of each of one of the tubs.... You then have 3 pots left over to do the same thing three more times....By the way, AEG recommends changing the filters every 3 to 6 months.... I have to be honest I do it every 2 years and still think that I am being over cautious....

I always use lose charcoal to replenish my filter. I empty out the old charcoal from their plastic casing put casing in dishwasher and refill and replace. So much cheaper than buying the whole thing and less plastic for the environment!

Each tub was enough to do both filters on our rangemaster hood. WAY more cost effective than the official spares and quick (if slightly messy!) to change. Recommend putting plenty of newspaper down, or even doing it outside. Enough with 4 tubs to last 2-3yrs with our level of usage. Great!
