First impressions very positive
Really like these boots. I was looking for something warmer for daily dog walks on a variety of surfaces and terrain and these looked ideal. I noted folks comments about sizing but bought my normal size 9. They do feel slightly big for a 9 but not sure I could go down to an 8. I added an insole under the liner boot and with thick socks that is perfect. Plenty of room for toes and now just right. The insole may help as both the inside and the inner boot are flat. Very comfy. Had a walk of about three hours and my feet were comfortable and warm but not sweating or over hot. In terms of waterproofing, possibly not the most severe test but plenty of mud, puddles and long grass and feet bone dry. I quite like the look of them and some trousers go over them and tighter legs may need to go inside but not a problem. I ordered on Saturday and did not pay for one day delivery but they arrived on the Sunday anyway, so that was impressive too. If they are reasonably long lasting these are a winner and I look forward to warm dry feet all winter.

One of the best snow boots
Very comfortable. They do look a little large but they are very well made and well insulated (Hence the size). They give great grip when walking on slippy surfaces, are fully waterproof and very robust.

Cosy and warm
I don't think I have ever wore such comfy boots!Would definitely recommend these to anybody who is looking for a pair of winter boots.Sizing.They are big.I'm a UK size 11, but on reading many reviews, I bought a UK size 10.5 and they fit perfectly.I think my normal size would be too big.I wore normal sport socks if this helps because lots of reviews are saying that the socks play a part in whether they fit properly. They are wide but with boots in general that's expected.Warmth.They are incredibly warm.I was worried they would be warm to the point where I'd have sweaty feet but this is not the case. They are warm, and cosy warm.Very comfortable.Obviously, at the time of writing, the temperature is currently 4 degrees Celsius. So, if it they were going to make my feet sweat, now would be the time.Weight.They are quite heavy.I don't think many people will be able to wear these because they really are quite hefty. They're for wintry snow covered ground so they need to be durable.I myself, wear safety footwear and heavy boots at work, so for me the weight is not an issue. If you're not accustomed to safety footwear, you may see the weight of these as an issue.Quality.Full Grain Leather uppers.Rubber sole with more than decent traction.Felt liner that can be removed if you want to air them out.Easy to slip on and off.All in all, a very good shoe.

Were excellent winter boots but now leaking
These were bought in sale at 50% off so really good value. Ordered same size as any of my other footwear and fit well.Very warm and comfy for my dog walking.Only draw back I could say is that I cannot get any of my jeans to go over the boots and they are boot fit so style wise I probably don't look very cool but I only have them for dog walking on a morning.Latest update, water gets in the left boot. I think this may be from the seal around the edge. very disappointing after such a short space of time. Did not expect this from an expensive brand

Very warm, waterproof and comfortable, but maybe order one size down unless you have wide feet
I've had these for a couple weeks now and been wearing them in the current (2021) UK winter which has been abnormally cold up in the North of England, hovering around 0 Celsius for weeks, so sometimes frozen but sometimes wet, and well below zero up in the hills (Peak District). They've been perfect for all this. They're incredibly warm. I was recently up in hills and it was probably -5 and my feet were very toasty and I was only wearing normal indoor socks. Wearing them above 5 degrees and doing a lot of walking your feet would probably be too warm, esp if you were wearing thick or full wool socks. So they're serious winter boots. As many others say, they seem to be sized rather large, a least length-wise, so I took the advice of others and ordered one size down and they fit nicely. Normally, I'm an 8 and I ordered 7 and I'm very glad I did, because they fit perfectly: snugly width-wise with just the right amount of toe room. I can wear them without thick socks and they're still incredibly warm, because the removable inner sock they come with is very thick and warm. I could still wear thicker socks or even double up, if I had to, and it would be fine, if I found myself in seriously low temperatures and the inner sock wasn't coping, but as they're rated for -40 (allegedly) there seems little need to worry too much about making room for massively thick socks. I prefer not to be beholden to thick socks, because then you can just conveniently jump into them with whatever indoor socks you're already wearing. I should say, however, that I have very narrow feet, so for me the too-bigness was a matter of length, not width, so ordering one size down didn't mean the width was too tight. If you have wide feet then ordering one size down could potentially be problematic. I've knocked one star off value for money because, as great as they are, the normal retail price (£150) seems to me too expensive. I paid £90 here on Amazon and I think that was worth it, but I wouldn't have gone much over £100 myself.

Great boot
This is my second pair of Carabou boots . The first pair I have had for 10years , used them in minus 20 degrees kept my feet warm . Only issue I ordered my exact size 10.5 (45) uk . The boots whilst doing the job were always too big and cumbersome. After all this time ordered another pair in a UK 9.5 . They fit like a glove and so comfortable. Going down a size has really paid off . Hope they last as long as the first , which are still going strong with no issues bar a new pair of laces .

Impressive And Comfortable
Bought these Caribou's to replace Buxton's which were too tight for me and had to go back. When I tried these on I left them on, that's how comfortable they are. They are big though but impressive boots. Too soon to rate Durability but they look durable.

Size 11 Perfect for my 10 Wide shoe size - Comfortable!
Looks and feels very solidly put together - Uniform stitching and sealing around the soles. Rich, pure black leather dyeing. My feet are all messed up from arthritis but I added a Dr Schools gel pad and I feel no pain. These boots are the kind you can hand down to your heirs - like the pair my Father left to me.

Great boots
The media could not be loaded. I like everything about these boots . They fit my shoe size 10-1/2 wide and they are really warm . I only need one pair of socks. I have not worn them long so I can’t say if they will hold up well but the quality looks great . Easy to put on also . I normally don’t wright reviews But in these case I had to . I was in Bass Pro nothing fit right and they were all made in China . These were not cheap but I rather pay more and get quality .

comfortable
Fits great, I expect to stretch a bit. Right out of the box they were snug, they loosened up as the day went on, they were soft to walk on and very lightweight which is unexpected for this boot. The sole is awesome in the snow, slush and on ice. laces up tight and the outer leather boot is very nice, thick and tough to boot, ha ha. I own many pairs of Sorel's for winter gear and I am pleased with this boot as a commuter boot. this is a real upgrade if you want to get away from the 64" pac boot which has the classic sole with squiggly tread, terrible in my opinion.
