Yep, I got the shirt I wanted [in spite of terrible display photo]
I use these shirts when I need a little warmth if I have to be rolling, or might get wet, when kayaking. I may wear it with neoprene trunks, or with a farmer John wetsuit. I'm really unsure about how this is sometimes called a rash guard. It kind of rubs me a bit under the arms, in ways my other paddling shirts do not. But, it serves its purpose well, and I'm glad to have it.[Edit: This paragraph can ignored, since the listing has been updated with a good photo.] The photo shown on the Amazon listing is so non-representative, that I shot a pic of meself wearing it, that I intended to upload. But, there's no "upload photo" link. So, here's a description of the shirt I received, upon taking the chance that it actually would work out as it did: It's very black, and so is the thread between panels. There's a white logo with silver and red "[HYPERFLEX]" text on the left chest. There's a small white logo at top center of the back. The left sleeve has a small white logo near the cuff. The right sleeve has "[HYPERFLEX]" in white and silver. There's a ghastly pink tag inside the neck, which makes you think of white underwear that has accidentally been washed with new, red shirts.Contrary to the Amazon listing stating it's 100% Polyolefin, it is 90% Polyolefin, 10% Spandex, designed in the US, and well-made in China.

True to size
Shirt is true to size, purchased for winter snorkeling in the Florida Keys. Expecting water temps in the mid 70's. This should keep us warm. Full report coming after the trip.

doesn't work well as a 'wetsuit'
The problem with a top-only wetsuit is that it's very hard to get the right size. I have rather wide shoulders and not much of stomach, and this shirt is quite ineffective to prevent water to enter from waist up. I end up tucking the shirt inside of my trunks to minimize the water flow, but that both looks silly and is of limited use. This would work as a rashguard, or for sun protection, but why not get a simple rash guard then!

These are great, thick but not too thick
Great quality, keeps sand out. Keeps you warm - it is like a thin scuba suit shirt. Very nice for snorkeling and keeping away sunburns!

Four Stars
Well made, thought it would be thicker.

FIT IS NOT ACCURATE
Fit is "off" for this product. XL is my norml size for a product of this type, but the XL product was too large. I then ordered a L, but it was still too large as water gushes in under the shirt and thus it does not provide effective warmth.

works very good
i live in Kaua'i and surf everyday, this rashguard is perfect for every day any condition. it keeps you warm, not too hot. i own a different rashguard i never use, because i overheat and it wastes my energy. this rashguard is perfect for hawaiian waters, it dries very fast after you wring it out too.
