Mom has dementia, and now claustrophobia. She cannot be in a bathroom for more than 2 minutes. She was refusing to bathe. This portable tub was the answer. She is now clean and feeling good. One side came a little lose but it was too late to return. Still great value!

A good simple bathtub that makes up for the shortcomings of only having a shower. It is very easy to install and the size is just right. It has a thickened and comfortable bottom. It can be folded up when not in use without disassembly, which is also very convenient and space-saving to store. There is also a matching backrest for lying down. It is very comfortable. I like this bathtub so much.

For a moment I found a product that changed my life. After a year and a half of living in my house that only has a standup shower I desperately missed baths. I filled this up, sat in it and was in paradise once more. I used a space blanket to trap the heat in and it totally worked. I was so happy sitting there in the hot water soaking once more. But then it was time to step out and drain it… I stepped out of the house for a few minutes to take care of something and came back to my bathroom floor flooding. Why? Well, the concept is simple and it’s because of the horrendous, flaw and design with this product, the gravity of the water presses the bottom of the bathtub against the floor ceiling off your drain. The only way this product would work is if you have a drain directly under the drainage hole. Plot twist: only bathtubs have the drain in there. Standing showers have the drain in the center where the water goes so essentially when you pull the drain on this, your shower, drain is completely blocked off by the gravity of the water, pressing the bathtub bottom to it while the water drains out the drainage hole on the side and onto your bathroom floor. You could take a drainage pipe (and I don’t suggest the one that it comes with since it’s like only 6 inches long and made of plastic that’s crushed easily under the weight of the water) and have it run from the product drain to your actual drain, however, the cheap plastic drain that they put on it uses a cap that you have to push into the drainage hole to seal it off. In other words, there’s no place to stick your drain pipe. The side drain allows you to, but because of the flawed product design it’s several inches above the bottom of the tub and will only drain so much water but you’re still left with a heavy mess of water that’s pressing to the floor once the waterline above the side drain runs out. This whole product is a mess, but I’m keeping it because I’m just running too long pieces of wood from the drainage hole to my drain and having a clear plastic tube attachment go from the side drain down to my actual bathtub drain and another plastic tubing between the two pieces of wood hold the bathtub bottom up so when I unplugged the bottom drain the water water has similar similar to go to get to my drain. You’re just using this for an outdoor pool when you plan on draining water into the soil you’ll be fine, but if you’re putting this in a standup shower, I don’t recommend this product at all till they come out with one that has the drain plug in the middle.

I love bathing in winter but my new home only has a shower. I ordered this after much research, but without very high expectations, and have been very pleasantly surprised and impressed. The main positives are: It’s very easy to assemble, and comes with good instructions. It’s exactly the advertised size (but remember to measure your shower’s floor dimensions, not wall to wall). It’s very well insulated and retains heat as well as a normal bathtub does. I was worried that being plastic, the bottom would be cold and uncomfortable to sit on - it isn’t. The width makes up for a lot of what you lose on length, so it’s more comfortable than you’d expect, and the inflatable cushion can be positioned so that you can lie back, which does away with the problem of trying to lean against a vertical side. And the construction is very sturdy - no risk of the sides collapsing and flooding your bathroom. The only downside - and it’s a huge one until you sort it out - is drainage. The soft bottom, plus the weight of the water means that you’ll have a big problem emptying the bath unless the shower drain fits exactly under the bath plug. I found that putting a plastic packing pallet under the bath works perfectly and completely solves the problem, but it took a little bit of working out to get it completely right. Apart from that, this is a five star product. I’ve been using it daily for 4 months and it’s still in perfect condition. Highly recommended!

I ended up putting this in the roadside pickup. It kept coming apart and was very unstable for me to get into even with a chair to hold onto. Do not waste your money.

Ever since I visited Japan I've wanted a Japanese tub. American tubs are long and shallow. I have other priorities for money right now so remodeling my bathroom isn't in the budget. I saw this and thought it might fit into my 1960's tub. It did! Even if it did rip or peel, like some folks have said, it's only $50, much less than a remodeled bathroom. The picture I took of the "T" joint shows where the tabs did not reach the holes for a complete joining. It worked anyway. Also be careful, even though the thick plastic appears tough, you can tear it when sliding the tubes into the sides. The drain worked fine, it's at the end where my tub drain already is. Great purchase

It arrived properly packed with all the parts and pieces. If you're not handy like me, you'll need about 25 mins and a pair of gloves for a good grip when assembling. Here's the most important tip for putting it together -- make sure the folding joints on the long sides face outwards (as stated in the instructions) -- that is how it will fold the tub when you want to stow it away. UPDATE -- I'm actually not sure which way to turn those joints to make it fold. I think another review here has some tips. Now for bath time: The inflatable back rest is great. The inflatable bum rest is just for optics. You can toss that and see Tip 2. Tip (1) -- Make absolutely sure the bath is lined up where you want it before filling it up -- like against a wall so you can lean your head back, for example. It is almost impossible to move it when it is filled with water. Water is heavy. Tip (2) Place a towel under your bum to prevent slipping and sliding once you have found your comfy position. (3) If you are placing the tub directly on top of your drain (and you probably will) you need to have a plan for getting the water to the drain. Something like a rolled up towel log placed under the tub, leading to the drain is an easy fix. It creates a path for the water to get to the drain and it doesn't really affect your comfort if placed from the foot end. Tip 4 - If you have no way to top up the hot water once you are in the tub (i.e. no lower faucet) -- drape a beach towel over the lower half of the tub to keep the heat in for longer. Works like a charm. I love this thing. The design is genius and it is worth every penny. I'm not in love with the cheesy prints so I got the plain one and it doesn't clash with my bathroom's color scheme.

This was a great product for our son as we only have standing showers in our home. We used it for a good month and a half until we folded it the way it’s supposed to fold, but one plastic piece snapped and broke off. Pretty upset, and I know our son will be too. He loved his bath time.
