Vega X888 Full Face Helmet (Flat Black, Medium)

was involved in an accident earlier this week and I am so thankful to have been wearing a full face helmet, without it I would have had a broken cheekbone and serious road rash on my face, safety first!!

There is so many reviews on this helmet. Opinions on comfort, functionality, noise, durability... But I have not read one review on this helmet that praises this helmet for what it really does. It saves lives. IT SAVED MY LIFE.I was cut off, I did everything in my 14 years of knowledgeable riding. Everything happened so fast, I couldn't prevent what was about to happen.In what was literally a blink of a eye, with my right foot pushing as hard as possible on the back brake and my right hand squeezing with all my might on the front brake, I couldn't stop in time to avoid the person who did not see me and just sped past me on my right, on a 4 lane road, then ubruptly moving into my lane, not realizing I was there. Next thing you know, I'm flying through the air after impact. My very next thought was (Jesus, please just take me home, I don't want to experience this..)Then I remember landing on the ground head first. I only remember rolling a couple times before thinking my next though.. (please don't go underneath another vehicle and get run over.) Before blacking out. I don't remember much after that.. But I know i wouldn't be typing this review right now if this helmet didn't save my life! This helmet did save my life!God's blessings to you all.

I bought two of these helmets, 1 XL and 1 L for passengers, and have used the XL for 4 riding seasons, and the L for my girlfriend for this past riding season. The XL has been great, and is cool in the heat, and warm in the cold. The visor is excellent, and in weather when fogging is a problem, I crack the bottom slightly. I ride mostly in Pennsylvania and Delaware area, and in the evenings, the bugs and especially moths attracted to my headlight, splatter the visor so badly I have to regularly pull over and clean it. It's a mystery to me how some ride without a helmet or full face helmet - or why. The mesh chin insert flew out in the first season, but has not been missed. The chin strap still holds as it did on the first day of use. The finish on the XL has become sticky on the XL from continuous use, but cleans up with soap and water and a little elbow grease, while the XL has maintained it's finish. I wear sunglasses all the time without issue, and occasionally ear buds for my GPS. It's a bit noisy at speed from wind coming in under the helmet, but quiet enough that I can hear whats going on around me. The padding is comfortable and I haven't had any of the problems I saw described in other reviews, and it fits as well as it did on the first day I wore it 4 seasons ago. Best insurance for your head, face and eyes that you can get for what has amounted to $17 a season. Strongly recommended.

This helmet is definitely a steal for the price. It's a good starter helmet for anyone that's on a budget.Pros - very comfortable. I commute round trip about 2 hours a day, 4 days a week, and I've had this helmet for about a solid month now.- low wind noise. Comparing this to even the higher end helmets on the market, I was very surprised on how quiet it was. No whistle sounds, very pleased on that part.- smooth face shield clicks. I like how easy and smooth the face shield clicks up and down. It's very convienient when you're on the go and you need to air out your helmet or to unfog your shield on cold days.- style. I went with the matte black finish and I gotta say, it looks great and I've gotten several compliments on it. Like Ive mentioned above, I commute fairly long. With all the bugs I get, it's pretty easy to clean with just a wet microfiber towel on the matte finish.I didn't find too many cons but I've noticed a few.Cons - like another review stated, the stitching is poor, but it is a 60 dollar helmet. What more can you ask for?- not bluetooth capable. You can try to mount it in, but it's going to take away the comfort.- Engineering. So this is the part where "you get what you pay for" applies. When riding at high speeds (about 60-80) you'll get some head drag as oppose to having little to none with a higher end helmet in the price range of 250-600. I ride a sport bike, so when I'm in a tuck I don't feel it as much. I would say the head bobble isn't that bad since I've gotten used to it.Don't let the cons discourage you from buying this helmet. It's a great starter helmet and for the money, you're not losing out. Hope this helped you guys!

I bought this helmet for my moped, because I wanted full-face protection. I knew that, given the advantage of the low price, it wasn't likely to be the best helmet out there, but I went for it anyway.After three weeks of daily riding, in the city, at a max of 35 MPH, I can say that the helmet is holding up decently. There are definitely some pros:- Full-face! Nobody can see me swearing at them when they cut me off!- Fairly durable, so far. I've dropped it a few times and it's still going strong.- Not super difficult to put on.There are also some cons:- Noisy. I thought I'd be fine in the city on a little bike, but it does start to get pretty loud around 30 MPH.- Foggy. No matter what I do (even discovering every vent on the helmet!) I can't seem to shut the visor all the way, because it immediately fogs up.All told, I'm happy with this helmet, and will likely hang on to it for the next several years. I mainly was looking for safety, and this helmet seems to be doing just fine in that respect (minus the fogging). For the price, it's a good deal and, I believe, a good helmet.

It does it's job, as in protecting your head, but that's about it. Out of the box, it looked great, but within 2 months the finish started to age, and then it was rained on, and became horribly discolored. Sure it's a budget helmet, you get what you pay for, but was just expecting it to look nice a little longer than 2 months. You may have a better bet on the other finish than the matte one.

This May I I purchased a Vega X888 full face helmet. On Friday I had a bad motorcycle accident and I am fairly confident that your helmet saved my life. I just wanted to say thank you for making an affordable yet quality product to help ensure the safety of us motorcycle enthusiasts. I did not mean to road test the helmet but I hit the pavement pretty hard and skidded for a long time. I am very happy with the quality of such an affordable helmet. The helmet was comfortable to use when riding, and after hitting the road at approximately 100km/hr the CT scan at the hospital came back clear of bleeding on the brain. I have tried on a few helmets in this price range and found everyone of them very cheap, especially in the padding and strap. I am very happy with the quality of this helmet at this price point, I think it will last for years and the fit was perfect. 23 3/4" fit perfectly in a large. I would definitely recommend this helmet.

Quite good overall. Very good considering the price. I got a Medium, my head measuring well within the range for that size, but it's pretty snug. Hard to get my glasses back on after putting the helmet on - broke a pair trying. May be hot for summer use - plenty warm for winter. Chin strap doesn't have a quick latch setup - feed the strap through two rings and back through one. (Then put your gloves back on.) Instructions say not to ride with a damaged one (from impact, I suppose) - return it and they'll replace it. That impresses me.

Excelente casco creí que por el precio podría ser de baja calidad pero me lleve una grata sorpresa se siente sólido y de buena calidad además de que es muy cómodo y tiene certificación DOT

Lo ocupo casi diario, comodo y de la medida correcta de acuerdo a su guia de tallas, obvio se debe usar con algun aditamento para cubrir la boca de la contaminacion pero de ahi en fuera queede muy satisfecho por los menos de 900 que pague por el.
