Great for large areas, a little tricking to cover something small
very stiff to work with and the roll does not relax which makes hot gluing almost impossible but it's good quality and looks very good. I would say it would work very well for a large area such as chair but I was using to cover some wall sconces in the bedroom. I'm happy with finished product

A lot of splits and discoloration
Weaving cane is a difficult and time consuming task, even for those well practiced at it. Iโm told that it takes a novice 10-12 hours to weave a chair seat or back, and an expert might do it in 4-6 hours at a cost of perhaps $200-$500. That makes this sort of pre-made woven cane an attractive deal, at least for some applications. There are some limits on this material, however. I wouldnโt use it for a chair seat, at the strength of a cane seat comes from the fact that itโs woven through holes in the seat, and so the load is distributed over the hundreds of individual strips of cane. Itโs fine for things like doors on furniture, speaker grills, and similar ornamental work. This particular roll of pre-woven cane has the additional problem that itโs full of flaws- discolored and split pieces, small strands sticking above and below the surface and so forth. I certainly wouldnโt use it anywhere itโs going to be prominantly displayed. Itโs okay for areas that arenโt obvious, or for patching holes in non-load carrying panels. My particular application is in a speaker grill that I want to have an antique look, and I figure that I can hide a lot of the discoloration with some amber shellac.

Very pretty caning!
I used this to make a background for a project. It was a little hard to get straightened out flat, but once I did, it looked really nice. The quality is great! Very pretty!

good decorative caned rattan roll
For decor (making some standing screens) it works well. Its not too stiff even before soaking and there are no breaks in the material that I received. The size is also accurate according to the listing. and for anyone who needs to know, the holes are one per 1/2".
