Great soft sword
I play in the Adrian Empire Renaissance group and I wanted something that the 1 to 5 year olds could safely wack each other with. Have no core these foam swords are perfect. My one complaint is they do not last forever when used all day by excited kids. After 16 hours of play, 1 of the swords broke. I plan on buying more regularly.

Cheap but would recommend
Cheap and low quality, but perfect for Lille boy’s birthday party.

Wish they were a little longer...
I bought these for work (as a way to help people "slay" their computers when they start acting up; I couldn't find any reasonable prices foam mallets or bats). Plus, one "sword" was given to our section's "warrior" for when others he works with (not in our group) get on his last nerve & he needs to "do battle" (argue with them in favor of what he wants/says that needs to be done). The remainder were given to another employee for his grandkids to defend the "king" in his castle.

We wanted swords FOR children, I think these actually made BY children
Let me be clear. I don't mean upsetting child labor practices overseas. I mean, these were made by a class of first graders and the teacher is super-checked-out, running a side hustle selling this stuff made out of carved pool noodles. the FIRST time my child gripped the hilt of a sword in his hand, the bottom piece instantly pulled away and fell to the floor. I don't know what you think your kids are going to do with foam swords, but for us, gripping it by the hilt was a top-three expectation. In fact, it was number one. Number two? Hit sister. And three, of course, hit dad in the crotch. Amazingly, number three hasn't happened yet, but that's mainly because they rarely use them; two dimensional swords cut out of notebook paper would be stronger.Assuming the teacher, who is almost certainly called Miss Carol, has bought in bulk and is having her classes crank out one gross of these per week, no doubt fueling them with a dum-dum party every Friday, estimated materials cost per sword: sixty four cents. I don't think Miss Carol works alone. We all know she's been seeing Mr Jeffries, the middle school shop teacher, on the sly for almost two years now, and I suspect we have an extra credit scheme with the burnout kids packing and shipping these and getting that D up to a B minus. Negligible materials cost, free labor, free packing, ship for three dollars, Carol Bardeer and Randy Jeffries are clearing over $17 per box of garbage they send out. Their trip to Tulum for "continuing education" is paid for, not to mention the "personal days" spent at the Red Roof. Your kids will barely play with these, you'll forget to return them in time, but Carol and Randy thank you.

Lots of fun!
Fun toy, but not very durable.

Tons of safe fun
We generally try to avoid fighting games, but whenever our son and his friends got together outside they always started sword fighting with sticks and inevitably someone would get hurt. These are the perfect solution. They are soft enough that even a hit to the face doesn’t hurt, but sturdy enough to seem realistic. Our first box of these lasted about a year of heavy use before they started coming apart and we immediately bought a new box because they are always a hit with the preschool crowd.

inexpensive and safe play swords
As my kids are using other household items as play swords, I figured it was time to get something that actually looked like swords but were safer than the various sticks, bats, etc. that were being flailed about.came across this set of 6 foam swords and gave it a try. it's a great value and 6 is a good number to have. it comes with a quantity of 3 swords in two different styles for a total of 6. the sword length is short, so that also helps reduce the potential for hitting more things and makes it a bit safer overall

These literally kill pirates
These will literally kill a pirate. Also a great value for the money and the safest way to encourage violence for your young children.
