I'm really impressed with this, especially for the price. It holds my parasol perfectly straight and sturdily without needing to put it through my table which means I can move it around as I need to. It's easy to store and light enough for me to pick up and move, but sturdy enough to stay put. If extra ballast is needed you can add those large patio type stones to the bottom or sandbags would also do the job. Wish I'd had it years ago. Highly recommend.

Foldable parasols stand meant for 4 small 40cmx40cm square paving slabs . Except when legs are extended , it doesn't lay flat !! Still very stable but the pavers rock , and if trodden on could split pavers . It’s good just not perfect .

Seems pretty sturdy, much more manoeuvrable than our existing concrete base. Especially when you have a partner who needs a slave to constantly move the umbrella to follow the sun. It was fairly windy today and our 2m crank and tilt umbrella was still secure in the stand. The stand is easy to set up and stores away neatly should you wish. Really pleased with the quality for the price and an added bonus was that it was delivered less than 24 hours after I ordered it.

This device has the right idea, having a wide spread of its legs, and with the use of weights, will support a parasol reasonably well. There are no instructions. The four slip pins that hold the device in the folded state are very poorly thought out. They were clearly cheap rudimentary stopper slip pins inserted through each leg locking them to the frame. Unfortunately, some bright spark decided to saw the ends off with a blunt junior hacksaw or similar, leaving huge burrs on the end. This means that without filing the burrs off, the device cannot be unfolded and so cannot be used. Cheap cotter pins would have done the job, which is what I shall be replacing the slip pins with.

After getting a big parasol for the garden I struggled for ages trying to get a base to keep it on the floor and not blowing off down the park but this is brilliant so light easy to do and pole fitted in with a bit of room Incase you have a larger pole and the weights I got 2 bags that Velcro together and tried them and worked a treat, I used sand but you can use that or gravel so saved a fortune and easy to move around the garden even when it’s not with the table and it hasn’t moved yet even when the umbrella is moving in the wind

This item is supposed to be a parasol stand but I doubt it could cope with much more than drinking straws or tooth picks. Not only is it so light it cannot support an open umbrella, but the folding mechanism is of such poor quality two of the four feet detached after the first use. They're held on with metal pins with flattened ends which simply fall out of their holes. Further to this the stand started to rust after one night on the patio. The strange this is it's designed to accommodate the larger 48mm poles for cantilever parasols. However there is no way in a million years it could cope with the weight. So the old adage stands; you get what you pay for.

I bought this as I had a new garden parasol but my existing stand was too small in diameter for the pole of the new parasol. This option offers versatility as it adapts to different diameter poles and is pretty sturdy once it's set up. It is probably best used for a parasol that goes through a table, rather than free standing, but even so, for the price and the versatility it's an excellent piece of kit. It's not too heavy to fold up and take on holiday but perfectly suitable for a garden as well.

Great product but very frustrating to find weights that fit and none are recommended that are compatible with the products on amazon. I ended up buying paving slabs from B&Q. Product itself if great for use on a temporary basis i would say as after one year of use i found the product to be rusting and falling apart so weather protection is poor. Also i found it hard to get it to keep the umbrella stable and vertical and often was leaning no matter how you position weights. It also blew over a few times in the wind even with heavy amount of weight on it up to 40KG. As a shot term use it will be fine.
