There's not a lot to this thing - so you don't need to be "that guy" who runs your high school scoreboard to operate this one. LOL. Numbers are big and really clear and bright. Everything is increment/decremented with simple up/down plus/minus buttons, and that's EASY. I love that about it.You only get 2 things to set, really: this game's score, and how many games won. It's clearly set up for cornhole (who knew cornhole had such rules? I had to look them up!) but I can see it working for any game that can be scored within the same maximum number of digits for game score and number of games. That's a lot of uses.The simplicity wins me over, and the brightness of the surprisingly large display. Also nicely packaged so it's gift quality for the cornholer in your life. It's a good scorer and couldn't be simpler - it even feels robust. Yep, I like and recommend this digital scorer.

Scorekeeping in pickleball is sometimes a pain in the butt. This item is pretty helpful in keeping score during your games. It comes with the score keeper, a remote and charging cable. It's all powered with a built in battery and you can just charge it via usb c. The scoreboard itself is simple to operate and solidly constructed out of plastic material. The LED lights are adjustable and can be very bright and visible even in full sun light. The remote allows you to adjust the score and brightness. So you must adjust score after every point, manually. So you can't forget. That does take some time out of play.My one gripe about this is the remote. The remote is an infrared remote and not radio frequency (RF), that that means you really have to be slightly close and aim the remote pretty much directly at the scoreboard for it to register. That should be a future update and maybe make it a wireless remote watch, so that you don't have to dig into your pocket after every point.

I wanted a scorekeeper for pickleball because it can be hard to keep track of the score on long rallies. This scorekeeper works but has a few issues. It's pretty small so the seniors that I played with the other day were having trouble seeing it. The remote is a nice feature but needs AAA batteries and uses IR so it has a limited range and needs to be pointed directly at the front of the scorekeeper. This was awkward while trying to play. Also, it doesn't have a way to keep track of the first or second server, which is what we usually forget in pickleball. While charging the battery, it doesn't tell you that it's charging unless you plug it in. The case that comes with it is very small and you can't fit the remote in the case along with the scorekeeper. I also managed to scratch the screen very easily just by putting it and the remote in a bag together, so you have to be careful with that. The instructions don't mention too many features but when you do the self-test it shows a ton of features that are either hard to get to or are not really there. I was able to get to a few of them by holding the mode button down, but I couldn't figure out how to get to all of them even after playing with it for a few hours and trying different button combinations. The best part is probably the magnet, which is very strong. Overall, I don't think it's really worth it to get this scorekeeper and wouldn't recommend it, unless you really like the design and are specifically looking for a small magnetic scorekeeper.

The media could not be loaded. This is a great little score-keeping unit which can be used with many sporting competitions such as cornhole, pickleball, baseball, softball, etc. Although it is recommended to only use it indoors, I'm sure as long as it is not exposed to rain or very wet conditions, it will operate just fine. The unit itself is not very large so it would not be very functional if a large crowd of people would need to see the scoring but for small events, a home game room or smaller competitions such as cornhole, it works very well. It comes with a remote control which, when I tested it, had a range of over 20 feet, making it real handy to help track the scoring. We used this during our recent, annual family reunion cornhole competition, and this was the first time we didn't have some very competitive disagreements on who was winning the game(s)! The remote does not come with the two AAA batteries needed to use it though. The remote has several functions and is intuitive enough to easily learn and understand its use. The scoring unit also has manual buttons on top of it so it can be used without a remote if needed.The scoring unit has a very bright display with easy to see numbers. The brightness and sounds can be adjusted using the remote control. It's rechargeable and it seems to last quite a while before needing a recharge. It comes with a type "C" charging cable as well as a carrying case, although the remote and scoring unit cannot fit inside of the carrying case at the same time. Regarding the scoring features, it can be set up as silent or audible when scoring. It also has a timer function should you need that functionality. And one of my favorite aspects is, it has a magnetic back so it can be placed anywhere there's something metal to stick it to, making it much more stable and portable.The reason for 4 stars was only due to its relatively small size, limiting its ability to be used at larger events such as outdoors where the crowd could be a distance away.Overall, I think this is a neat little score keeping gadget and something every home game room or competitor needs in their arsenal. It definitely will help keep the peace and add to the fun when used during sports games.
