I decided to get 2 tomato plants this year - kind of a science experiment. :-) I put them in the ground and the plants were barely growing. I thought that maybe our soil here was just without any nutrients as nothing is ever done with the yard except cutting the grass. I added some liquid fertilizer which helped for a while.I found Back To The Roots Organic Potting Mix here on Amazon and decided to try it. All I could do was very gently turn about 1" of soil on top and then add the potting mix. In 3 days both plants had grown about a foot and blooms started to appear. I added more about 2 months later and the plants are over 4 ft. tall now. Sadly, I've only had 4 tomatoes produced from the blooms. But, you can bet that next year my "science experiment" will include deeply tilling/turning the soil with Back To The Roots Organic Potting Mix. I will also add whatever other nutrients are needed for tomato plants.

This potting soil is amazing, it’s light and chunky while still holding the perfect amount of moisture, doesn’t clump and break off everywhere when you’re using it. Totally worth the price.

This soil is absolutely horrible. I should have known when the package came in the mail and it was COVERED in dead gnats. I figured that was just the warehouse and not the soil. When I opened the bags to use for house plants I noticed that the soil didn't look fresh and had some kind of grandules in it. Turn out it was bug eggs. My houseplants are absolutely INFESTED with fungus gnats. I previously had none in my house/ plants, and they're only in the plants that I repotted using this soil. I tried neem oil and traps to kill them off, but the soil is so full of eggs there's no fixing this and my plants are dying. Do not buy!

I bought a bunch of these bags to keep me busy during the winter months and to give a spruce to my indoor plants. Upon playing with the soil, the plants are thriving inside as well as the bulbs outside.

I used this to start my seedlings for the first time and I like the soil quality. It's worth it. My seedlings are doing great.

Not the greatest. Wasn’t too impressed at all. Full of gnats and dries out quickly. Had to amend the soil before using. Truly will not purchase again.

Organic soil is perfect for my veggies 🥦 plants.
