Vampires from outer space 😂
It's short and a bit childish but it's an 18 certification. Not as good as I had hoped. But to be honest I have seen a lot worse.

No Japenese Audio
Overall the presentation of the dvd is very good you get a cool front image and the dvd menu isn't too shaby. You get Vampire Wars and trailers for other Manga Entertainment Products, the anime itself is actually really good once you get into it but in the end I thought it was a bit short and leaves you wanting more. The animation is kinda old but still well detailed and the dub was ok, wanted the Japenese audio though. The english dub goes from very good to strange as some voice's seem to be from over the top muscle guys with big deep voices that talk creepy. Overall very good product and would recommend it to anime fans.

All you can really expect from a ten pound film
Unfortunately this film sort of reminds me of when you throw loads of stuff you really like into your blender, thinking it can't be anything but delicious, but as a result you have to end up scooping your 'brew' out with a spoon, subsequently throwing it out immediately:Kung Fu scenes, gunfights, conspiracies, CIA, and so on. All the makings of what might be an excellent spy flic. But then they throw in elements that have nothing to do with these things, such as NASA, aliens, vampires and a 'chosen one'( which of course happens to be a beautiful young girl)...That plus the poor dubbing, below average animation, overdramatisation at times, needless sex-scenes ( unless you're into watching cartoon figures shag) and cut-off ending ( the film stops just before the end: they tell you what they're going to do, and leave what it's going to look like to your imagination) are the reason it should get only one star. The reason it gets two however, is because all the loose elements i've described above are in fact well portrayed:The fights are well done, the vampire character is all you could expect from a vampire, and the rest of the all round action is great. It's just the cheap attempt at a complex story that completely put me off.DVD extra's include trailers, that's all.

A laughable, but weirdly half-decent example of bad 90s anime
The funny thing about Vampire Wars is that it could be a heck of a lot worse. No, really. As far as early 90s pulp anime goes, in all its efforts to be the next Legend of the Overfiend, this schlocky mashup of CIA thriller tropes and supernatural chills is as amusing as it is terribly scripted. The dialogue is crackpot awful - swearwords shoe-horned in at every second, and oh, a couple of needless sex scenes just to round it all out. Centering around 'Kuki' - this anonymous hunk of chiselled muscle has girls and prostitutes draping themselves over him at every spare moment as he punches and shoots his way from one fight to another. If anything, this film is redeemed by the fact it's so short - at any longer than 60 mins, the joke would start to wear thin - but clocking in at under an hour, the terrible dub and drab storyline just about passes; helped along by continual laughs at just how dated this all is. Worth a try just for the swears and the blood.

Short but sweet
Manga has been releasing a lot of these manga collections Dvd's recently. This is by far the best of what is available. The whole thing is short but sweet. The story is entertaining and certainly leaves you wanting more. Which is its only problem, its a one of manga film which could have easily become a great series, bit of a missed opportunity but worth buying to see what the company has missed out on doing.
