This was used to hold money for an 80th birthday. He loved it! He was still talking about it days later! It did take more than a minute to put it together but once we got the hang of putting the boxes together the rest was easy.

I have used this kind of box to give gifts of money in the past. At Christmas all of my great grandchildren got one. It was so much fun. I bought one of these Jinstabags recently. Unlike the previous ones, each box had to be put together with tape. I did all the assembling exactly as directed. When the money, confetti were all inside and I slid it open, NOTHING! I have worked on it over and over, but it just does not explode! A big waste of money and time. I will have to just buy card and put the money I want to give inside. Sadly, this was a dud: however I have used others that worked great! I just want one that didn’t say “Happy Birthday” so bought this one.

Requires some assembly, and I found it easier to just use my hand rather than the special tweezers they provide. Once you get the first small box (there are six) done, it’s easy because you get it. Haha! Be sure to have the person receiving/opening the gift slide the box out quickly for a more dramatic effect.

I love this concept but didn't realize the amount of work I had to do to set it up. I bought 3 of these for my son and nephews for a Christmas money surprise. It took me over an hour to set everything up. None of the boxes worked as described. They kind of just fell out of the box, but didn't fly out of the box as I had hoped. They thought it was pretty cool, though, regardless, and had fun pranking other people at Christmas.

First off, this was a lot more DIY than I expected. When I opened the box and saw I had to assemble everything myself, I was a little intimidated and actually set it aside for a bit. There is a QR code for instructions, but it links to TikTok, which I don’t have. Fortunately, I found a helpful product video on Amazon that walked me through it. The written instructions were a bit confusing, so the video really helped. To assemble the little spring-loaded boxes, you need to stretch a rubber band across the inside from one side to the other. It’s not hard, but it does require patience and nimble fingers. Thankfully, the cardboard is thick and durable—despite a few fumbles, I didn’t tear anything. After the first couple boxes, the process got easier. I tested the pop-up with the money first, before adding the confetti. The included confetti is a very thin, shiny plastic, and it goes everywhere. Because the box doesn’t close tightly (due to the springy boxes inside), some of the confetti tends to fall out even before opening. I highly recommend gifting it outdoors or somewhere easy to clean. I also suggest tying the included ribbon tightly around the box to help keep it closed before slipping it into the (very snug fit) gift bag. The set does include some stickers for decorating, and a pen—but just a basic pen shell with several different ink tubes you can swap out manually. You have to unscrew the top, change the tube, and screw it back together. An odd addition, but ok. It felt a little overpriced considering the amount of work involved, but the surprise effect is worth it. Just give yourself enough time to assemble it, and expect a bit of a mess. It’s definitely a creative and memorable way to gift money!

I enjoyed decorating each little box with stickers and gel pens. I put confetti between each layer on top of the money. This is a standout gift idea for anyone who wants their present to feel more fun, creative, and unforgettable. I totally recommend this product.

Garbage. Didn't work as I had hoped. Wanted to explode as the demo shows but it just slowly opened up. Pain to set it up for no real excitment.

OMG this was the best thing ever. My nieces and nephews are teenagers and only want money, so I was trying to find a creative way for my nephew's birthday. It was perfect. The box is a decent size, and because of the pop up boxes inside it had a good weight to it, so he had no idea it was money. And I got the gift amount in the smallest denominations possible so it rained money. You can only pull this off once, but highly recommend!
