ANOTHER GREAT PRODUCT FROM SONOFF
I've been using SONOFF products for a number of years now and in operation they have proved themselves to be rugged and reliable in all sorts of applications. I chose their TRV ZB valves to enable me to have an individual heating zone for each radiator. To achieve this I use the Sonoff iHost for local control and various types of Sonoff Wi-Fi switches to call for heat from the boiler (switch the boiler on or off). In essence each TRV ZB acts as a 'Master' and has a 'Slave' Sonoff Wi-Fi Switch associated with it. When the TRV ZB goes to 'Heating' status it causes its associated slave switch to fire up the boiler. The switches that I use as 'Slaves' have clean volt free contacts model 4CH PRO. It will take some time with a simple thermometer to set up these TRV ZBs to give the desired room comfort temperature level. The effort is worth it though as since installing my system I have noticed much better comfort- not too hot or too cold and seen a reduction in my heating system gas consumption and of course once set up the operation is fully automatic. The TRV ZBs come with several valve adapters but I had a couple of valves (Myson) that adapters were not available for so those valves had to be changed to a type that will take the TRV ZB. The valves are battery (3x AA) operated and very quiet in operation. They are very controllable- I'm using the SONOFF iHost with standard firmware in every device. In using these devices I've identified features that I would find desirable in future developments for the product and Sonoff/ eWelink actually encourage and listen to feedback from customers via the eWelink forum. In summary this is a very competitvly priced smart TRV that will enable DIY ers without deep coding skills to build an automated central heating system.

Will buy more
Purchased to replace very old manual ones because they were difficult to get to behind furniture. Have Alexa and Hive heating and these connected really well. Took a bit of time to fit, my fault as I chose the wrong adaptor piece (and because they were awkward to get at). Once I realised and got the correct one which was similar, I had no problems. They clicked onto the valve and you can hear a quiet whirring noise as it sets itself up and turns on or off. Set my routines or valve temperature in Alexa, much easier than moving furniture to alter the settings for the old manual ones.

Radiator thermostat valves.
These were bought on the recommendation from my son, he uses them at home and he says they work really well. We have only just started to fit them, as we need a plumber to sort a couple of our radiators that have a different fittings to them.

Cheap and reliable. but audible.
Reliable, cheap and works great. Would not use it in bedrooms due to audible operation on open/close. Get Aqara w600 (more than 2x price) but exceptionally quiet. Stick these cheap Sonoff in all other rooms to save £££ and you will be happy.

So far so good
I've used Sonoff hardware for a number of years now and it has been very reliable. I had no problem getting the valves up and running. One thing to be aware of is that on first installation it prompts you to uprade the firmware to the latest version. It takes about 40 minutes for the upgrade to complete. I was a bit concerned that it seemed to be taking a long time but a quick internet search while I was waiting confirmed that this time is about normal. It completed the upgrade and everything worked perfectly afterwards. The eWeLink software is pretty good as phone apps go although I normally prefer a PC app. In this case some of the configuration options in the PC app are hidden behind a paywall so the phone app wins because everything is freely available. Time will tell how reliable they are but at the moment it's five stars.

Love them!!!
I’m obsessed with these radiator valves!! It took me just a minute to replace the old ones as luckily didn’t need to use any of the adaptors. Very easy to setup. I have other SONOFF temperature sensors in the rooms and the valve temperatures are accurate. I got 10 of these valves around the house and I have connected them directly to my home assistant to set some automations. At first I had to update the firmware which took no time. Very happy so far with my purchase and can’t wait for winter now!

Brilliant, so far defo worth it
So far so good, have to say I really like these & easy Alexa intergration. I live in a 2 bedroom flat and it's always annnoyed me that to put the central heating on I'm heating the whole flat despite the fact that I spend most of my mornings in my office / bedroom 2. I had the old style TRVs where you can manually turn them to turn off but a pain to keep remembering and doing. I bought a two pack and Installation took 10 minutes for the first one and 2 minutes for the second one as I knew what I was doing by now. I didn't need to use any of the 6 or so adapters that came with them, they screwed directly onto my radiator. As soon as it was on I pressed the top button, the display said "Ad." It whirred within and all was good. They take 3 x AA batteries and I can't comment on the lifespan as yet but very easy to replace when need be. Setup via the ewelink app. I already have a pair of sonoff curtain closers so have a sonoff hub for that & was aware of the little niggle in that you must switch off your 5GHz channel on your router for the devices to be found. Annoying, once paired you can switch the 5GHz back on. When ready, turn the button to off, Then hold it for 3 seconds and it goes into pairing mode. It does take around 30 - 60 seconds until it finds the device but once found it adds it straightaway and all works. So I now generally control via Alexa, turn the "Lounge Radiator to 25" but have a schedule set up to turn them both off at 12am and then they won't turn back on until I say so. So now when I get up, my heating kicks in 30 minutes before in the hall, bathroom & bedroom. Then when getting dressed I tell Alexa to turn the Cave radiator on. Love it. Will buy another two shortly.

Good quality and value
I have a mix of Hive and Sonoff TRVs. Personally I prefer the Sonoffs as they are less fiddly to control via Home Assistant than the Hive equivalents and take an extra battery (3 vs 2 in the Hives) and seem to have much more reliable and consistent battery life. For anyone struggling with connectivity…add some zigbee repeaters to your network (even a zigbee smart switch will act in this capacity). Makes a big difference. I haven’t had one of these drop off the network yet. For anyone not convinced by temperature readings…same as with the Hive units, the onboard temperature is pretty useless. This is inevitable when you have a thermometer attached to a heat source. They tend to report the room is up to temperature much quicker than it actually is. I use a zigbee thermometer in each room that has a TRV and ignore the temperature reported by the TRV. This gives a far more accurate reading of room temperature. I’m seriously considering selling off my Hive units and replacing with these.

Works well
Working great so far. Was worried that the batteries would run out quickly, but two months in the batteries are still almost full

Super Radiatoren fürs SmartHome - Klare Kaufempfehlung!
Was ist mir wichtig? Schlicht und wartungsarm sollen die Radiatoren sein. Warum Sonoff? Was ich super finde!
