I paid $35, so at that price it's 5-stars, at $80 or $100 there are much better coatings out there like cquartz UK3.0 or Cquartz lite 2.0 which is just as easy to install, or ethos ez peazy. The wipe off is grabby, and the coating is very thick and viscous so you really have to shake the bottle to get it out onto the applicator. Very easy to apply, grabby to wipe off, and if you find any high spots they are easy to wipe off coating is fairly glossy and super slick. I will update this review later on regarding the durability ***Update*** 04/19/2026 1st wash, hydrophobics are just ok, 7 out of 10. The slickness is still impressive and gloss too.

I purchased about a month ago and am extremely impressed with this product! I consider myself an enthusiast but by no means am I professional when it comes to washing and detailing my vehicles. I have previously used other coatings that were more of a short term user friendly approach to ceramic type coatings. Those worked but need to be repeated more often. Once I heard about this product coming out I decided I would give it a shot. I know a key for applying coatings is to make the surface as clean as possible so that you will get maximum bonding to the clear coat. I first used Meguiar's iron decontamination spray, then used a clay bar to try and get off as much contamination as I could. After that I used my DA polisher attachment for my drill to do a once over with a compound and a polish. Once that was complete I made sure any excess polish or other materials were removed with a surface prep spray. Once that was all ready I applied the coating. First of all it was extremely easy to apply and very forgiving overall for someone like me. I went along panel by panel until complete. I would say from wash, clay, polish and finally applying it took me about 7-8 hours. The results: The shine and finish is unmatched for any other product I have used. Running my hand over the panels felt smoother than I could have imagined. The coating helped to smooth out and reduce any of the imperfections that were left on the car. A week or so later we got our first rain. The water beading was amazing. Any of the dirt that had gathered over that week washed away with the rain and made it look like I had just gotten a car wash. I parked the car in the garage and within an hour all of the remaining water had beaded up and rolled off the car. It looked like I didn't even drive in the rain and it was clean! Since I have given the car it's first bath and sprayed a quick layer of the hybrid ceramic wax over for extra protection even though it didn't really need it. I look forward to seeing how it hold up long term.

After LOTS of research into the best ceramic coating for a DIY, I settled on M888. Extremely satisfied! The reviews were correct; this is an amazing product at a good price. Easy to apply and very forgiving, its brings out an amazing shine and is easy on and off. You do have to prepare the car and follow the directions, but the results are worth it. Now let me see how long it lasts.

Superior product application. The product is slightly less watery than competition. Makes spreading slightly slower but easier to see when applying. Easy to remove excess. Definitely would use again.

Meguiar's makes exceptional auto products and this one has all of the items included to apply and detail your automobile's paint surface. Although there is a lot of prep involved in readying your vehicle's surface, the application and final wipe down is very similar to applying any other wax or protective coating. The cost of it however, does make you feel a bit sheepish that either you'll run out of product before being done or a negative result will ensue. Luckily, neither of those things occurred. Looks great.

I had high hopes based on the Meguiar's brand and an overview from the engineers about how it was supposed to be better than alternatives. I saw a few negative reviews but gave it a shot anyway. Unfortunately it was defective and unusable. A broken cap allowed air into product. Didn't look like it was damaged in transit but overtightened by Meguiars. To make matters worse, this was not returnable. Update: I reached out to Meguiar’s directly and they shipped me a replacement bottle. My rating reflects this change.

Bought about 10 bottles within the span of 6 months for my 5 star detailing business here in houston and I absolutely love this ceramic coating! From the protection it leaves, the slickness of the vehicle, amazing mirror shine, easy to apply and remove, and for the price it is unbeatable! Definitely worth every penny and my clients can’t get enough of it especially when they are washing their own vehicles and getting compliments left and right!

Don't criticize the pictures too much weather wasn't the best and couldn't get a good shot, and this was the only day I had to get it done. Also, watch the video/videos before you start. There is some good info on there that will save you trouble if you don't do it right. First off, be prepared to do prep work. On my old truck I used to use Meguires 3 step cleaner, polish, wax, so when I looked into this I was already prepared for the amount of work required. I still only use Meguires products: car wash, ultimate compound, clay bars, ultimate polish and until today the ultimate wax. After I completed the polish and wiped off any residue I began the ceramic coat. I was a little conserned when I first started as it took a good bit of product to get the applicator loaded enough to spread. Once it was well loaded this product went on easier than any wax I have used. Application can get a little tedious as you apply one direction then go back over in another, however I found this easier still than applying wax. Removal was just as easy. However due to the size of my vehicle I may use 2 microfiber cloths on removal instead of one as by the time I got to the end my cloth was loaded and I didn't have anymore clean ones except the one I was planning to use after as a final wipedown during inspection. When I received the bottle I was a little angry because it felt like I had been "had" the bottle felt small to me for the amount of vehicle I had to cover. After application I felt better, because I only used a 1/2 bottle to completely coat my Ram 1500 crew cab truck. I cannot speak yet to durability, as this is my first time using this product, but I plan to come back and update. After doing all the prep work they mentioned in the video I am hoping for a good turn out.

This product is very good! I will never pay for a company to do ceramic coating again. The first time I had ceramic coating applied to a vehicle, it was over $1,000.00, and while it seemed to work and protect my paint from swirl marks, it was just too damn costly. My next vehicle, I knew I wanted ceramic coating again but didn’t want to pay a ridiculous price for someone else to do it. I watched numerous videos and tackled the job myself. I did it over the course of a couple days, first the hood, then the front fenders, then the rest of the vehicle to break it up and really take my time. I will NEVER pay for a professional company to do ceramic coating again. This product goes on well, sheds water, dirt and highway bug splatters as good or better than my last ceramic coating again.
