This is an excellent product. It’s the fourth one I purchased., The big box stores stopped, caring it, and they’re hard to fine. And yes, you do have to purchase the filters two per. But if you purchase more than three, you get them for around $17 each. It’s well worth it. It takes away cooking and Dog alters and cleans the air.x. I’ve learned to vacuum The dust off the filters to keep them lasting a little longer.

I specifically looked for an air purifier where reviewers said it made noise because I need white noise to sleep, and I need the air purified, and I like a fan. So this does all three! The High setting is VERY LOUD but consistent in terms of white noise. It also puts out enough air to feel a good breeze on High if you turn the air output in your direction. The Medium setting is most tolerable in general, but I do crank it up to High when the neighbors dogs are barking! The Low setting is almost silent with very little air output. After one week, I ordered another one for my 20 yr old's room, but he did not like the pitch of the white noise. (Personal preference for everyone.) We put that one by the cat litter box in the basement and it works great for odors and air circulation. My previous air purifiers blew the air straight up, whereas this one blows it out into the room. That may be a concern if you are not looking for a breeze.

Bought this for my medium sized bedroom for my dust and cat allergies. Had it for 6 months now and I love it. It really does help with my allergies, I used to wake up with red puffy eyes, runny nose, headache, etc but I wake up feeling better. Its moderately quiet so I leave it on for most of the day. During the day i have it on the highest or or middle setting and at night I leave it on the lowest setting. Im a really light sleeper and the noise doesn't bother me on the low setting. However it gradually starts to gets louder when the filters need changing, and once new filters are in its quiet again.Only issue is that the red light for "filter rest" seems to come on randomly, even after a recent filter change so I cant rely on that to tell me when to change to filters. Other than that Im really happy with this product

This product works great to take unwanted odors and contaminants out of the air. My roommates consistently smoke indoors with little ventilation. As a result, my apartment frequently smells like smoke and allergy irritants. Since my purchase of this product, I have noticed a difference in the time it takes for the odors and smoke to leave my room. When keeping the air filter on, the smell and visible smoke dissipates quickly and keep it out. With the HEPA air filter, I have noticed a positive change in my sinus reaction to my apartment. I also enjoy the volume of air it moves. It works for me as a fan as well in my fairly small room.However, the air filter lasted much shorter than the time that the product states. Within the 6 months, I have had to replace the filters. For this reason, I give it 4 stars.I would recommend this product though for anyone looking for a quality air filter.

One of the first things I wanted to see is if the pre filter on the unit collects dust.I've had the Honeywell HEPA Tower Air Purifier, Airborne Allergen Reducer for Medium/Large Rooms (for approximately 200 sfl area) for 6 days today.I checked to see if the pre filter collected dust yet. Today I noticed a light film of dust on that filter. Something is working right.The unit has been running on high for 24/7 since the day I received it.It was easy to put together. The high level circulates the air better. The noise is loud to those with sensitive hearing. Of course it's not as loud when the air circulation is lowered.I will try to change the overall rating if I notice anything does not work properly during the first half year or so.Honeywell air purifiers seem to work as good as most of the other top units.

Let me introduce by saying that I get very bad spring allergies. There is no stopping the pollen from coming in, even though specialists say that you vacuum regularly change your clothes after going out, take showers after being out. I tried them all still spring season is miserable for me. I purchased the Honeywell air purifier without much hope, to be honest. Let me say that I regret not buying this product any sooner. It was a game-changer - it significantly reduced my allergy symptoms (sneezing, watery itchy eyes, sinus pressure..). For full disclosure, I'd like to reveal that I was also on a daily dose of Loratidine (but I used to take Loratidine before getting the air purifier and still had multiple miserable days). This air purifier worked for me, and I am sure it will benefit other spring allergy sufferers like me.It is very easy to install and comes with filter sets. There are 3 settings as mentioned. On the lowest setting, you can hardly hear any noise. You can say that it is almost silent. On higher settings, you can hear some noise, like that of a fan. It gives out some air and can also second as a fan during the summer months. There is no chemical smell at all.I am very happy with this purchase!

One of my goals in life is to have people not smell our two cats when they walk into our apartment. I have this little beauty set up right by the litter boxes, and it does a pretty good job of cleaning the air (You can smell things in the room for a few minutes after one of our kitties uses the litter boxes, but the odor dissipates fairly quickly with this on). The litter boxes are in our den (approx 16' by 12' space) and this purifier is plenty powerful enough to keep the air circulating, and to stop the stinky litter air from spreading to the rest of the apartment. We've had it for about 2 months now and it's still going strong. Not sure when we'll have to change the filter though.

Was worth the buy, nice and quiet, and works well!

LEA CAUTELOSAMENTE EL MANUAL DE USUARIO PARA SU CORRECTA INSTALACIÓN Y USO.2. Funciona mucho mejor en una habitación limpia con ventanas y puertas cerradas: Esta indicación viene en el manual y tiene sentido. El purificador hará mejor su trabajo si no se introduce más fuentes de contaminación a la habitación.3. Ahorrar para los consumibles: Requiere un pre-filtro HRF-AP1 que debe cambiarse cada tres meses y dos filtros HEPA tipo HRF-G1 que deben cambiarse cada año, este último es caro, requiere dos, y en ocasiones son difíciles de conseguir. En la caja con el purificador ya incluye un kit de dichos filtros que deben instalarse según las indicaciones del manual.4. Es ruidosa en los niveles II y III: Al principio no podía dormir usando el purificador en nivel III. Después de un par de semanas me acostumbré al ruido del nivel II. Para aquellos que el ruido los moleste para descansar, pueden dejar el purificador corriendo a nivel III o II por un par de horas antes de descansar y usarlo en nivel I mientras duerme.
