I'm always up for trying different paints as a novice "artist". This went on easily, very nicely in fact. It dries matte, as I'm sure a chalk paint is intended to do. I only tested it on paper so far. It's a small jar so I wanted to make it last. The inner seal was quite difficult to remove but as usual I used what was on the seal as the test paint. The dried color was very close to the color in the jar.Recommended.

I used this on a gel print, and the results were decent. I used it with other paints, but this went on with a brayer much easier than heavy-bodied or even regular craft acrylics did. I'm not a fan of the chalk paint aspect, though. It's matte, and I think that changes the color a bit. It looks a bit brighter in the jar, but when it dries, it looks a little more pink than it did when it was wet.

It's thick and creamy and a bright red, leaning toward orange. Thick and easy to use with stencils. I'm stenciling a set of curtains that I bought that are a sort of plain Jane type of beige and I want to brighten them up a bit with fabric paint and some pom-pom fringe that is multi-colored.

Cons: When I ordered this, the featured photo had multiple different colored pastes in it and the title said "15 colors." So, I naturally thought I was getting a set of these pastes. The lead photo has since been changed and I see that this is just one color - purportedly it is red. The cost for just one color is very high. Also, this is not red. It is in the red family but I would put it pretty squarely on the pink end of that family. In my photo, the paste is the color on top - very pinky. The other two colors are a medium hue and dark hue red respectively. So, if red is what you are after, this isn't it.Additionally, I found the package really hard to open without covering your hands with paste. There is no tab to pull.Pros: The paste is creamy and looks to be nicely pigmented. It is also easy to spread around and you get good coverage with it.

This paint is really thick, and really pigmented, which means you only need to use one layer for coverage. Which is awesome. It's a really bright red and silky smooth, without leaving chunks behind. Not a strong odor, which I appreciate. The downside was the small amount of paint you get, it doesn't last an artist very long, and the jar was very hard for me to open. Other than that, it's great!

This paint (I ordered red) is thick and creamy. My jar was sealed with one of those impossible-to-open vacuum seals with no helpful pull tab, so it was quite messy and wasted a bit of paint. At the asking price for this product, that is kind of a big deal.It spread on my test stencil quite easily - for my test I used a vinyl screen stencil (was testing that product too) and it looked amazing on the paper I decided to use (other than the fact that it was a vinyl stencil on paper - but that is not a paint or a stencil issue LOL). My paper was black, and I only pushed through one layer, but it covered very nicely - I was pretty impressed with that.The paint held the texture of the screen on my stencil. I liked that feature but it might not be for everyone.I really really wish this would stay on fabrics. But for all my non-fabric projects this paint is a nice addition to my paint library.

I used this chalk paint to put a design on a towel. It is smooth, covered the stencil very well, and dried fast. The color is bright red, perfect for Christmas or Valentines decorations.
