My daughter is getting into crochet, and she has been struggling trying to figure it out on her own and with YouTube videos (haven't found any classes for her to take). She saw an ad for the Woobles and really wanted to try them. Those kits are $30+, so I got her one of those and this one. They're comparable, but this one is so much less expensive! She actually really likes the printed instructions that are included. The Woobles kit has no printed instructions but has online videos which are helpful for her to get started but less convenient to take camping or to do a second project with different materials. This kit, however, she thinks the printed instructions would be great to do future projects in different colors with her other yarns. This kit also had video instructions available, but I don't think she's looked them up yet. The quality of the yard is really good, comparable to the Woobles yarn, and the box it comes in is nice. It would make a great gift also. The highland cow is adorable! She's not even finished yet, but it's coming together so nicely! She said she'd definitely want some of the other kits from this company because they are just as nice if not better than the Woobles kits.

The media could not be loaded. This kit was my first attempt at crocheting, so I wanted to make sure I got a kit that had detailed instructions. This one is great! The videos were the most helpful, without those I probably would have gotten frustrated and quit. Once I started to get the hang of it, I found most of the process pretty relaxing and enjoyable. The trickiest parts for me were the decreases and magic rings, so make sure to be patient with yourself and use the videos as a guide. The yarn is very beginner friendly, it’s very durable and doesn’t fray if you have to go backwards to correct a mistake. If you’re interested in learning to crochet, this is a great kit, and very worth the money as now I have the pattern to make as many of these cute little foxes as I want!

I got this kit as a test to see if it would be good to teach my Girl Scout troop to crochet (10 year olds). Overall I would recommend it, HOWEVER, there was an error in one row of the ear on the printed pattern, which could really confuse true beginners. I'm a knitter, not a crocheter, so while most of this was new to me, I already knew how to do some basics like chain stitch and read a pattern, and was confident enough to figure out the error when the numbers didn't add up, but if this was truly my first time crafting like this I might have gotten a lot more frustrated! The videos are correct, so if someone is following the video and not the printed pattern they would be okay. Overall, it's a super cute little stuffed amigurumi - my first ever! And even though I thought it was a fox originally and not a shiba inu, that's probably because of the orange color, and it looks adorable anyway.Pros:- comes with everything you need (except scissors), a printed pattern and link to step-by-step videos that do a good job of explaining everything- cheaper than some of the other similar crochet kits out there (by more than half!!)Cons:- error in the printed pattern could confuse true beginners- ran out of orange yarn and couldn’t make the tail. Still cute without it but would have been nice to be able to make the full pattern!

Wry cute starter crotchet kit. Great functionality with the beginner yarn that is easy to use. Great relaxing moment in the day to create a cute little cow. The yarn feels durable and the final product seems like it will hold up well over time.

This is the worst instructions. I have spent at least 4 hours just trying to get to step 2. I have some experience in basic crochet that my grandmother taught me however that was not using a pattern. Trying to understand the pattern and stitches for this product is exhausting. They include a booklet that has pictures of the how to do the stitches but again I just could not get it. I went on to their website to try and learn and again did not explain clearly and was to fast. I was determined not to give up so I finally went on you tube and had to search each stitch type as the pattern called for it. I’m not sure how other brands are but this brands instructions are very frustrating and difficult to understand it is definitely not for beginners as it explains nothing. I will not be purchasing this brand again.

It could be better. Video instructions were rough to find at first but they explain well. Ran out of light green yarn so I had to get crafty to finish the body. It could definitely be better but for the price isn't horrible either.

Just taught myself to crochet with this kit, I loved it! And these kits are so much cheaper than others and provide all the materials. I can’t wait to try other one!

I am a beginner crocheter and have tried MANY crochet kits. This one by far is my favorite. It comes with what I call “the good yarn” that doesn’t fray every other time you try to pull thru a loop and the instructions are easy to understand plus it comes with more than enough materials. I’ll definitely be interested in getting another kit from this brand soon.
