KAVU Mini Rope Bag Cotton Crossbody Sling

The blue and white is the kavu mini the pink is a normal sized kavu.So I originally ordered this bag and canceled because it was 20 dollars cheaper in the store with that being said. I originally bought this for my 8 year old who will be 9 in two weeks. So glad it worked out for my other daughter though it was a great buy!!!! We love kavu! So here’s what you need to know about the small or mini kavu bag; will not hold a 9.7 inch iPad even if it doesn’t have a case on. The bottom goes in but it will not zip nor come close the top! The iPad (normal size) does NOT fit in the largest compartment for the mini kavu again 9.7 so a normal sized iPad 1-2-3-4, iPad Air - PRO and larger will not fit! IPad mini 7.9 inch fits with room to spare with a case on! Now my daughter is 7 in this picture but she’s the Size of a 5 year old. Please keep that in mind. When they say 1/3 the size of a normal kavu they mean it!!! (Honestly speaking children age 7-10 may need an in between size because a kavu normal size looks like a small backpack on my almost 9 year old, not good for a purse which is what we use them for. Kind of awkward carrying that and a bookbag to school.) Now my daughter has (currently) in the small/mini kavu bag is an iPad 7.9/mini some deodorant, inhaler. Change purse, small writing book, chap stick, small bottle of perfume, sun glasses. And I’m probably missing something. But it holds allot just not allot of big items! “We were parked in the photo”I did this because there wasn’t allot of reviews or exact information on the compartment sizes for this bag. I love this bag!! A good friend had the large, I’m a smaller build person and fort the large bag was too big. This is a wonderful compromise!

I bought this bag because I was looking for something to carry my necessities for day hikes. Haven’t taken it out yet but I’m pleased to see that it fits everything I need. The size is perfect for me. I am 5’1 and think the regular size rope bag would’ve been too big. Though small, it does fit a 17oz water bottle, a tube of sunscreen, sunglasses, iPhone 7+, and plenty of room of miscellaneous small bits like asthma inhaler, epi pen, lip balm, keys, etc. It is nice to be able to carry it in the front and get items without taking the whole thing off. It didn’t become apparent to me until I put it on that I can only wear it on my back if on my right shoulder.I had previously bought a Longchamp Le Pliage backpack for day hikes but this Kavu bag is better suited for my needs.

Love it! I have the large size and got the smaller size for a purse. I love both! I use the bigger one for a diaper bag/ purse together and the little one for a purse! They are so perfect and comfortable and durable. I suggest that if you carry a lot you should get the larger bag but if you carry a small amount of stuff the small mini size will work great for you!

I am in love with this bag! I bought it to wear on a trip to Dollywood in August and I still haven’t switched back to a regular purse. I honestly don’t know how I’d be able to ever go back! It’s just so convenient and the perfect size to hold my wallet, sunglasses, lotion bottle, and heavy duty portable phone charger without being uncomfortable.This may seem silly but My favorite part is that I never have to take it off when using the restroom in public places! Public restrooms are gross and all the purse hooks are always broken, so I was thrilled when I realized I didn’t ever have to put my bag on the grimy floor!!!The bag is also very durable. It has been my every day purse for the last 3.5 months and there is very little wear and tear, and it’s mostly on the corner of the small outer pocket.

What a great little bag! It fits perfectly across my back, and isn't too small. It is very comfortable, and can fit so much stuff! I can easily fit my water bottle, a book, wallet, check book, wipes, phone, glasses, etc. I mostly got this bag to take out to the beach, hiking, family trips, school trips, etc. I have had the regular sized Kavu in the past, and it wast just way too big for me. The straps on the regular sized bag dug into my front, and the bag pulled my back down. I have no pain with the smaller bag, and it looks more proportionate! The mint color is more of a turquoise color, chose it to match the color of the gulf coast (when it's healthy), and it is spot on! My new favorite bag, and I can't wait to break it in!

I've had a regular sized Kavu Rope bag for many years. Its my go-to travel bag and I had recently started using it as my everyday purse, but it was a little too big for that. I went online and found out that Kavu made a mini version and decided to give it a try. The bag's sling design is just as perfect as the standard size, and my iPhone 7+ with case (and 2 pop sockets) still fits comfortably in the front zipper pocket. The only reason I am giving 4 stars rather than 5 is that I wish the strap was longer. The strap on the mini is shorter than the strap on the standard and I wish they were the same length. Its still a workable size but I have knocked my sunglasses off the top of my head a few times when I go to take the bag off, which is something that never happens with the standard bag.

It's a nice sized pack...just what I needed for shorter hikes (water, phone, keys) and comfortable. Don't get why they used white zippers. The white zippers just doesn't aesthetically work. Wish they used black which matched the trim on the bag, or matched the fabric colors of teal and beige.
