Updated Review
I just received these boots. Obviously, I can't comment on how warm they will be, but I can say that they are really cute and comfortable. Unfortunately, the 8s I bought are just a tad too small. I'm not sure if the boots run small or if my feet are getting bigger. I do think they will not be comfortable when I am wearing thick socks, so back they go in exchange for 8.5s. Also, I purchased the fossil color. They are a kind of grayish-tan color, a nice change of pace from the usual black shoes I buy. One last comment, I am a huge fan of shoes I can easily slip on and off. These are great boots for just that reason. I can't wait to receive the proper size for me and start wearing them.*****Updated Review*****It has now been about two months since I have been regularly wearing these boots. I love how they look, but I am not as happy with them as I thought I would be. In my initial review I said that the 8s were too small, but I now realize that it wasn't the boot that was small, but rather, the shaft of the boot is small. With the 8s it was hard to pull the boot on. I mistook that to mean that the boot itself was small. Now I know that's not true. The 8.5s are too big. I am able to pull them on and off easily, but even with thick wook socks, they are too big. I am still able to wear them, but they pull my socks down and my feet kind of flop around in them.Additionally, these boots are NOT good on ice or slippery surfaces. There is absolutely no grip to the soles. I have a pair of Bogs that have better traction. Too bad the Bogs aren't as warm as the Sorels. That is a plus about the Sorels. They are most definitely warm.I really like the look of these Sorels because they are simple. They look like snowboarding boots. And, I think if they fit properly they would be comfortable like athletic shoes, but that's not the case.Oh well, it's not a total loss. I'll still wear the boots, but I will only wear them when it is really cold out. If the temps are in the 30s, I'll wear my Bogs.

Replacing sole inserts is a MUST for fit
OKAY SO I LOVE THEMNOW. So I listed these as somewhat small because they’re awkward. I purchased an 8.5,which is my typical size, even though a lot of reviews said they run small. I don’t find they run small my foot fits inside perfectly with a little room for socks and it’s very comfortable definitley not too small BUT the combination of a very stiff stitching at the ankle and an extremely thick sole insert made them almost impossible to get on even though they were 100% the right size. I saw a review about UGG inserts so I ordered them also. I removed the sorel sole insert, it does come out, and put the furry UGG insert in. Voila they’re amazing!!! I am so so so happy. They’re the perfect combination of and UGG or bearpaw type boot but they have great tread and are water proof. I currently live in the Alps and Test them out on a daily basis on every cold weather condition and they are awesome! I have renauds disease also so keeping my feet warm is a huge challenge. These are excellent! Comfort, slip on and warm and dry. The only thing that could make them better is sorel fixing the issue with the sole themselves and putting a thinner furry lining in. The sole that comes with is definitley nice and supportive but it is just way too thick for the cut of a slip on. I can’t believe they haven’t changed it yet. Everyone must complain

Great!
These are a really great and also FUNCTIONAL boot. The functional part is rare nowadays as it seems many people select form over function when purchasing boots. Boots are meant to keep your feet 1) warm and 2)dry. Most of those Uggs and Bearpaws that people buy, those keep your feet warm, but the more popular ones are really not meant for snow! These are 100% meant to be worn in the snow. The leg opening is big enough to accommodate my very wide calf, which is nice, as many brands do not. These are very warm, and yes, waterproof. They are also comfy and have some support in them (which Uggs and Bearpaws do not). These also look fairly nice which is a big plus. The only negative thing I have to say is that they either run large or are very roomy. I wear a 6, so I bought a 6, but maybe should have gotten a 5.5. I wasn't brave enough to return it and try a 5.5. I can make due with the 6 if I wear thick socks. If I had to make a comparison, I would say these sort of fit like and feel a little bit like crocs. The foot body is stiffish and clearly has some sort of material under the leather which is probably what helps the boot keep it's shape and maintain its waterproof-ness.I think they have good traction and have had no problems with slipping, even on tile.

Glacy Sorel Snow boots
I ordered these Glacy Snow Boot in Saddle/Fossil color, size 8.5. It is a very nice, neutral color. My regular shoe is size 8, but I figured I would be wearing them with medium to heavy weight socks. The 8.5 were too small. My toes touched up to the toe box, so not risking that they may not stretch out I sent them back and ordered a size 9. The 9s have too much room in the toe box with medium weight sox - go figure on their sizing !?I kept them because I need waterproof, snow boot that rate below zero in this WY weather.I have only worn them once for a full day so far. The insole are very thick, and I did not feel the freezing ground -horray!- They kept my feet warm, as I expected. They were comfortable, but I kind of wish they didn't have too much play in the toe box, as I worry, hoping they will not stretch out and become too sloppy-big.The price was more than I wanted to pay ($114.95), but Sorel has a good reputation for cold weather wear and I have had bad luck with ordering boots/shoes online (can't much in small towns around here). The shaft height is good to wear with skinny pants, or under a flare pants. Not too good over boot cut jeans, but not terribly bad.

Tolle Schuhe

5*
This is my 2nd pair of Sorel Boots. They arewaterproofed and very comfortable. You fan clean them easily. I would never buy any other boots again for the ❄️ Winter.Sehr gute Winterboots.
