Warm enough
Very stretchy and reasonable weight fabric. I use these under ski pants and they keep me warm enough, even down to zero. I have skinny legs, and these fit pretty tightly. They are also long enough, and not all of these are.

Initial reaction - great!
I neede base layers for my 13 y.o. who usually wears Medium (5'8", 140lb). We purchased Small from Terramar and fit is perfect. I recommend buying 1 size smaller or buy in 2 different sizes, since returns are free to see what works for you best!I purchased both top and bottom from 2 different companies:TOP- this one "Terramar" Terramar Men's Thermolator II Crew,Black,Small - Coldpruf Coldpruf Men Platinum Long Sleeve Crew (Medium, Heather Grey) BOTTOM- this one "Terramar" Terramar Men's Thermolator II Pant,Black,Small - Coldpruf ColdPruf Men's Platinum Dual Layer Bottom, Black, Medium My son prefered both pieces Terramar. Why?- Coldpruf was not only big (so take 1 size down as it's a bottom layer), but very bulky. The fit is not to your body, but more like a top layer shirts.- Not stretchy enough- Coldpruf is Itchy, while Terramar is soft. My son has always been sensitive to what he wears and if material is "itchy" to him - he would never wear it. He started shouting after 1 minute - "take it off, too itchy". I felt it with my hands and fabric does feel very artificial and scratchy, compare to Terramar which feels very soft. In fact I can't make him take it off and he is wearing now in house.. LolReturning Coldpruf, and staying with Terramar. Will update after the skiing!

Quality base layer, smooth and comfortable material
These are the most comfortable long underwear/base layer I've found and I've tried several. I'm female and 5'10" so have trouble finding the appropriate fit with the women's base layers I've tried. The men's small fits well. Soft and breathable yet supportive material that doesn't stretch out with wear and extremely comfortable, even for lounging or sleeping in. Haven't tried them in temps below the 10s, but they're warm.

Good Thermal Wear for my cold Tucson Mornings on a Motorcycle
Retains the heat well when covered. Cools quickly when not covered. This thermal feels a little like tights. I bought the large and I were a 36 x 32 pant and there was lots of leg room left. I wear this in 28-45 degree temperatures on a motorcycle. It kept me from freezing, but if you were spending more than an hour under 32 degrees without working out you would probably need another layer. It was very comfortable to move from cold temps to office temps, so that I did not have to remove them.

He enjoys hiking and long walks during the cooler weather and these help keep his lower body nice and toasty
i purchased this as a gift for my hubby for his birthday. He enjoys hiking and long walks during the cooler weather and these help keep his lower body nice and toasty. Especially this year we had a brutal winter in the Northeast and the chilly wind was howling some days. He wore the thermolators underneath his regular sports/hiking pants and he said he did not feel the chill. Best thing about them is they are not too tight and not loose they fit just rights. He also found them to be breathable and didn't make his body sweat. If your looking for a supportive pair of underlayer pants these are good... I hope this is helpful for somebody

They are warm and comfortable and also great to walk around the house in
I bought these a few years back for my now ex bf. They are warm and comfortable and also great to walk around the house in. Flattering enough that they apparently give you the confidence to cheat on your partner repeatedly and not even feel a little bad about it.It was a great purchase. Not that he deserved it.

I bought this as a lightening deal so the cost was good. My goal was to use it for some extra warmth on cool camping trips. I was very happy when I wore them alone in a 40 degree bag and the temp dropped to 38. I was cool but I would have froze if not for these. Even when I opened the sleeping bag, my legs were still warm. I ended up putting my pants over them and spent the entire day wearing them. I'll buy a 2nd pair for myself and some for my sons who camp with me and always seem to forget warm clothes. I am 5'7" and the medium was a perfect fit.

These are not a baselayer.
These are not a baselayer. They are tights, and I do mean tight. I've have several different Terramar baselayers but these are not the same at all. Poor fitting, and uncomfortable. I would check out something different, maybe even another type of Terramar.

Helps you cool down
Utterly useless for winter, as it cools you instead of keeping you warm. Walk out in -8c under my jeans, and could feel the cold right through the fabric. Had to walk back in the house in 2 minutes before catching a cold. Maybe meant for sports use, to keep you cool during intense activities.
