Swan SWK235 Stainless Steel Catering Kettle - 3.5 L, Silver

The kettle feels well made and works a treat. It's twice the size of a conventional kettle so it's quite heavy when full. It boils fairly rapidly too. It's great for making loads of hot drinks in one hit especially over the holiday period.

The kettle was chosen to heat water for dishwashing to avoid large hot water tank heating, this has saved a lot of money. Its quick and I only use when when needed.

Party for 50 people this was a life saver as last year got fed up filling the kettle over and over again. Looks great its very light weight and tap is at a decent height for large mugs. Another bonus is if we ever run out of oil we will be able to boil a large ammount of water for washing /cleaning purposes. Thanks you to previous people for thier reviews it really helps!

I have ordered this kettle Dec 2015, and it has been in coonstant use. So far so good.However, two weeks ago it started sparking every time it was switched on. Hence, i cannot use it anymore.I am quite disappointed as I was not aware that this particulare Catering kettle (to be used on a large number of occacions - " Catering") would only come with a life expectancy of not even a year.I would not buy it again and do not recommend, as it is hazardous.

Purchased for tea room at work. Everyone complains its too slow to boil. Volume is good but patience needed if you are boiling a full kettle!

When it's full, it weighs a tonne...not litrally as that would be sillyWorks, quite slow to.boil when full, to be expected really

Bought this because our hot water sytem runs on oil and is very slow and wasteful. Cheaper than installing undersink heater. Heats up fast and very hot water available constantly.

Eight weeks after I purchased it it has started to leak around the seal on the base. I imagine that as an occasional use kettle it is probably fine but in my experience it is not a catering kettle and I would certainly not recommend it to anyone wanting a kettle for daily use.
