Oh wow—where do I begin? I had read the reviews for this lipstick crayon on other websites and they were predominantly raves. I’m a retired longtime NYC based makeup artist who did a lot of models, celebrities, etc. so I am EXTREMELY difficult to please regarding makeup performance and ingredients. I still try and use everything from cheap to expensive because I am personally a girly girl who loves all this stuff and will love it til the day I die. I don’t care if I’m 100, I’m gonna still live it up! Lol. These lipstick chubs (I purchased two different shades) are just perfection. I have what I refer to as-ahem-“chicken lips” i.e., I can’t see ‘em unless I draw ‘em on. (I tried fillers and I have a freaky metabolism that deflates them within 4 or 5 days. Crazy.) So I usually like a bright shade to liven up my skin, but I also prefer coverage. A lot of pigmented lipsticks are way too drying. If they are too moist-the color feathers outside my lip lines and it looks like a hot mess. I do like to overdraw my lips slightly, so I cannot afford to have a bright orange or pink lipstick to wander all over my face. To me, this is the best chubby lipstick pencil I have ever used and I have been wearing and using makeup for 47 YEARS. The formula is “clean” and it is very easy to apply, gives saturated color, feels not dry at all, but does not feather or bleed easily. It is that sweet spot I am always looking for. Liquid lipsticks are all the rage right now and although I like them for how “bulletproof” they are (hello olive oil dressing!) the liquids require careful application on small lips like mine. I often want something that really pops but outlines and fills in within 6 seconds. I couldn’t be happier.

This is my first time trying this brand and so will say I’m loving it so far. It stayed on after eating and drinking. Will buy more colors

I liked the fact that this Rebel color is the same dark magenta as MAC's rebel lipstick but Ere Perez is natural and CLEAN! ! The crayon is a bit soft for sharpening and the wood splinter s bit... guess you could put in the fridge when you need to sharpen. I usually line my lips then use Burts Bees ultra conditioning stick (which is clean also) The color is very nice.
