Amazing wish I bought this sooner , Miles better than using buckets to sython into like we used too . Highly recommend , miles easier and simple to use .wish I bought this a while ago , glad I got one now

I spent ages going over reviews and reading about the hose and if you have a decent sized tank (I have 240 litres) buy it. This has saved hours of work cleaning and carrying buckets, it will be the best money you spend in the fish keeping hobby. Definitely need to buy the brass adapter but when buying. When I’m doing weekly water changes it takes roughly 10-15 minutes to do a 35% water change and you don’t even need to stand beside it. If your unsure of this don’t even waste your own time, just buy it, it’s the best money I’ve spent 😁.

This product quite simply has made my aquarium hobby easy!I simply attach the connector from the 6m (maybe 7m?) hose to my tap (I had to purchase a separate brass adapter), and the vacuum created draws water from the aquarium down the sink. Then to refill water to the aquarium I simply switch the valve position and water goes from the tap to the aquarium - I put in an appropriate water conditioner to the aquarium water during this process and the tap I use allows for the correct temperature. I have been using this for about 2 years and if I had to do the whole manual syphon with a hose and empty buckets thing, I would have packed it in.I have a 200ltr aquarium, so the water change with the python makes it quick and very easy. Good for siphoning the substrate too.I have attached a photo to show that my aquarium is in good condition and the fish are super healthy. I will provide an update with a video of the python in use when I next do a water change.Pros: - long hose - easy set up - quick to drain and return water - shut off valve at nozzle end - nozzle is large and provides visibility of what is being vacuumedCons: - expensive for what it is but definitely worth the money - lack of adapters. Amazing, so glad to ditch the bucket

This is a good item, but expensive for what it is! however, if you have a larger fish tank like me (200 Litres +) then idea for you, if you have an ity bity one dont bother it will suck out all the water before you can get to the tap to reverse the valve!Pro's:Thick tubing so no bending and cutting things offGood diameter on gravel siphon (me i would have preferred smaller diameter and longer length due to my tank dimensions)25ft is plenty long enough for me (although not as long as i thought!! - longer tubing extensions can be purchased later as can siphons!)has a switch within arms reach at siphon end to cut off flow of air or waterno more buckets and broken backs!! rapid drainage and fill of tank, honest a 50% water change in a 200L can be done in 10-15mins!Comes with Python 69A Universal Adaptor included for your taps in the UKTop class seller - called and queried why i had ordered a 69A adapter when one was already included and suggested a replacement brass connector that was fantastic as the plastic one is going to break any moment (only used twice!).Con's:Expensivethe green adapter (thingy....sorry) that fits into the tap is way to flimsy given the price! Within this there is a white ring adapter (thingy....sorry again) that is made of plastic and is horrendous, thought it was going to snap in half first time i used it! Seller called to say 69A adapter that i ordered not needed as one was already included in price of original python but did suggest a brass alternative to the white ring adapter which was perfect!!Wastes a lot of water (not for the eco conscious people)can become blocked from time to time at the tap end and loose vacum (mostly due to dead leaves in my case as tank is heavily planted)Beware the trailing tubes, as my wife recently found out after doing a face plant against the aquarium glassAll in all still a good purchase from me! if your buying this and in the UK the python 69A universal adapter is a must (its already included) also i would suggest speaking to this seller and requesting the brass connector as it the plastic one in the python is useless. Came with a number of fittings for the tap to get it working.... however should have come with a rubber washer for in between the universal tap outer compression connector and the white nylon connector before it attaches to the Venturi (that has a washer). Luckily it was over the sink and not spraying out too badly but I’ll have to try and find one even though it should be included in my opinion as there’s no other way to get a seal.Good points - everything else. The quality of the pipes etc was very good, not thin tubing to kink. I could easily adjust the water being drawn in by the valve control by the gravel vac instead of going back to the sink tap. So glad I invested in this, saves so much time. Filling and draining my tank was so easy and quick. The siphon strength was very good without my sink tap all the way on. Filling back up was simple, I ran the tap with a thermometer underneath to get the correct temperature, added prime to the tank, lifted up and turned the tap outlet and in about 5 minutes 100 litres was put back in.Shame about the washer but I’d still buy it again even knowing it needs one bought after. I would recommend to anyone. It’s quicker, saves getting towels out across the floor, and makes it as easy a job as it could ever be.
